Blockchain.info is definitely not a choice in both security and UI wise. There was a issue which affected the RNG on it, causing lots of BTC getting lost. It wasn't fixed for several months till it gained some attention. Arguably, other wallets are also as userfriendly as it is. The currencies is not much of a feature, any wallet can display the Bitcoins in many currency accurately.
But now it is fixed so no need to worry tho? Never saw this before...

Coinbase isnt bad too with no fees.

i would recommend "bitcoin wallet" the one which is alike to core, it ws on the first spot, with an hold top five for android

I use the same wallet on my android. I don't trust 3rd parties like Mycellium, I want a "real" wallet that doesn't require you to put any trust in an outside party.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet

im use mycellium and mycellium work perfet,
mycellium is not 3rd party like xapo/coinbase, hw run like multibit(on PC) , he give you full acces to sign message, backup private key or restore

you wrong if you say mycellium is 3ed parties

No, you are wrong.

Mycellium is the 3rd party.  They use their own custom nodes to process the blockchain.  They use a centralized API.  If their servers go away or become compromised you are shit out of luck.  You should educate yourself about the wallet you are using.

Bitcoin wallet is completely decentralized and does not require you to trust in 3rd party nodes to operate.

Never knew these facts before downloading mycelium bitcoin wallet Cheesy I don't usually research about it especially when recommended by a trusted member Grin Thanks a lot man! I think I might consider trying that bitcoin wallet app

I never heard about it  Shocked
anyway i think i will remove my mycellium wallet and comeback to use bitcoinwallet
thank's for your reference  Smiley

how about this ?
i create new bitcoin address from blockchain, then i back up my private key
and restore my private key to mycellium wallet ?

That should simply work.
Mycelium also supports working with single addresses. It's not the default mode because it is recommended to use new addresses for every transaction to make tracing of your transactions harder, but for some cases, receiving several payments on just one address is ok.
For example, the address in my profile is used to receive signature campaign payments, and I've added the corresponding private key to my Mycelium wallet so that I can access it when needed.

It's true that Mycelium relies on centralized servers for blockchain access, and the availability of these servers is a single point of failure (there are no third-party compatible servers, as the server code is not open source.)
However, this does not mean that they can take control of your wallet or that you can't access your funds when their servers are unavailable. The wallet uses standard hierarchical deterministic key management, so by copying the seed to another wallet supporting the same mechanism, you would gain access to your funds again.

it's the reason why i've recommend, it, i always like the original not the modded one, no matter the feature, i prefer the one that has the more security and was the first to appear

and also like ti was said, mycellium is centralized, not something that is in the vibe of what bitcoin is

For personal uses, I use Bitcoin Wallet by Andreas Schildbach. It's been a great app for me for over a year now and so far it didn't gave me any problems. Functionality and security is a plus in that wallet, too. Smiley

I have 2 apps in my Android associated with my web wallets (blockchain.info & coinbase).
Both have nice features such bar code scanner..
With coinbase you can transfer your whole balance without paying fees and you can use their vault too.
But i still prefer my 1st used one: blockchain.info in which i can adjust the fee i want, manage easily multiple addresses...
(tried for one day mycelium & wallet Android but personally didn't like both)
Ofc it depends with the money that you want to deposit there, if it is high then preferably you get to use a cold one.

I think that it is not harmless to check every Mobile wallet features, give a try for few of them... in order to find the best one for you.

It is harmless, as long as you remember you're actually working with a currency, and not "play" money... Don't put a lot of BTC on a mobile wallet, especially one that is not very trusted amongst the community Wink
