I'm celebrating having good wifi after months of not having it by watching a lot of Netflix. I've seen a lot of stuff but am always on the lookout for a good show / movie.

Let's see, someone in the WO thread recommended The Platform not too long ago. I watched it, and it was quite good. To give you an additional idea of my tastes, I've also liked the following from Netflix:

Black Mirror
Stranger Things
Z Nation
Black Summer
American Horror Story
Rick and Morty
Trailer Park Boys

What else is out there on NF that I might enjoy? Movies or shows is fine.

Peaky blinders if you want something cool.

Netflix contains a large number of serials and movies. From all categories and most of them are very good and worth seeing for me. I recommend watching Lacasa Dabelle is a wonderful and beautiful Spanish series In addition, I advise you to share Prison Break, as it is also a very amazing and beautiful series

You might want to see The Umbrella Academy, Prison Break, Locke and Key, Lost in Space and The Rain. For some comedy, I would recommend FRIENDS, The Big Bang and Brooklyn Nine which is really great.

The train is 1001 wagon long,
It also has 2 levels (sometimes 3).
One level where people live and one technical level below with all the machinery and stuff.

... And for the sweet golf cart express lane. I'm about 7-8 episodes in now and they just said it was 10 miles long.

Sometimes it seems way too wide to be an actual train. Like the "night car" for example. But I'm willing to suspend my disbeliefs for the sake of the show.

Doesn't show up in my Netflix. Maybe its a regional thing.

I've been watching Penn & Teller: Fool Us lately. You're going to love it if your into magic tricks. The host is funny as hell too.

Yeah its a bit campy but worth watching from time to time. Penn and Teller are indeed amazing. They've been at it forever.

The series is (in my opinion) much much better.

I'm 5 episodes in and it certainly does draw out the main premise in significant detail. You're right, its a good show -- there's a lot more at stake than with the movie as there is all this advanced plot and character development going on. I think the train is much bigger and longer than in the movie, which is cool but hard to fathom a train being a few miles long.

I have finished the show, what a great ending.
Definitely better than the movie.

I can't believe that no one mentionned snowpiercer (the series, not the film).
Fuc**ng great show  !

Is it? I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, watched it twice. I saw the show had mixed reviews so I skipped it for now but will probably at least check out the first episode sometime.

BTW my recommendation to all if you haven't seen it: watch The Platform. Its an excellent premise, unlike anything else. TBH what it reminded me of the most was Snowpiercer, but its definitely got more of a horror movie vibe.

- The Old Guard
- Extraction
- The Night Comes For Us
- Bright
- Gemini Man

I wasn't actually planning on giving merits in this thread but you had an impressive meritless streak going so I broke it for you.

You can watch korean series. They are so popular now in Netflix. Korean jombie series Kingdom created by Netflix has got tremendous response from both season 1 and 2.You can watch Korean romantic series as well

1.The king eternal monarch #9 ranking in Netflix 2020 all over the world
2.Crash landing on you
3.Goblin

I'm not really a fan but my girlfriend is, I'll recommend them to her. I do have Train to Busan in my queue. And I watched the first series of the Korean zombie show... Kingdom I think it was called? That was good, pretty unique.

Am up to episode 7 of Dark so far.

Fuc**ng great show  !

The idea : earth became super cold (- 180 celcius ) and the rest of humanity lives on a train with an eternal engine.
The train is divided in 3 classes :
1st class = former billionaires, fantastic lifestyle they mainly paid for cost to build train
2nd class = high skilled workers they had to pay for the tickets
3rd class = free labour / slaves they didnt have to pay for the tickets, but they basically exchanged survival to modern slavery
4th clas (tail), people that boarded / hijacked the last two wagon of the train, they are  undesirable, tried to rebel to be given food instead of a mixture of scrape and who knows what.

Fantastic show that actually make us think how we live versus very very poor countries.
The things we find normal that happen in the train and the things we also want to rebel against.

Great show !

If you haven't done so yet, you might want to try out the "Old Guard" starring Charlize Theron. It's an action-packed movie indeed that hopefully would spark a sequel and trend for Netflix produced movies. Cool

Depends on what you need. Are those just Netflix shows? Or you don't care about that?

Anyway, here's my list:
- Money Heist
- Elite
- Sex Education
- The End of the F***ing World
- Dynasty
- Jessica Jones (I like only the first 2 seasons)
- Lucifer
- How I Met Your Mother
- Friends
- Call Me By Your Name
- Despicable Me - coz I watched it yesterday

Enjoy yourself!

Is Irishman that really good? I was about to watch it, but then when I notice that it is 3.5 hours, I was like, I might sleep on it if I continue watching.  Grin Please let me know if my 3.5 hours is really worth it.

I would say "yes," definitely a must-watch. Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel all in the same film -- these guys are all legends and don't have many movies left in them. However, since it is so long, I broke it up into 3 different sessions. Will probably watch it again at some point.

I'm on episode 5 of Dark so far. It's pretty good, a bit different. The exact premise of the show still hasn't been revealed, they tease you with little reveals each episode, but everything is slowly coming together. I've never watched a show made in Germany before. It's well-acted. Even the voice-over people are good actors, lol.

I watched episode 1 of Unsolved Mysteries... its OK. Not as interesting or bizarre as I had hoped, perhaps the other ones are better. I've also seen a few episodes of Altered Carbon a year or two ago. Some episodes kind of hurt to watch. I think I stopped after the one with the who mind torture thing, LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm gonna stick with Dark to see how it pans out, but keep them coming if you have any more.

Here are my recommendations:
-Locke & Key
-The Umbrella Academy
-Sense 8
-House of Cards (if you want politics; the best politics series)
