It's like a pyramiding style. If no member will take the upgrade, it will collapse. The site mainly rely on upgrades and not on the ads.

Forgive and correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I can tell, isn't this a ponzi? Investors pay to get a higher level as well as a higher percentage from their referrals, who, in turn, pay money to get a percentage from their referrals. This translates to old investors getting money from new investors (referrals), from what I understand.
