Hi there,
For the last years, I've been organizing this little contest. First in the french section, now here since 2022.
The idea is to make a small fictitious portfolio on January 1st 2025 and to see on December 31 2025 who has performed the best.
Suppose that you have 1000$ and you want to make a small portfolio with 4 altcoins. Which ones do you choose and in what proportion ?
Restrictions :
You can not take BTC (or wrapped BTC etc...).
You are not allowed to put more than 50% of your portfolio in one altcoin.
You must put at least 5% of your portfolio in each altcoin.
You can only take one stable coin (or none).
Take at least one altcoin beyond the 100th position on Coingecko.
You can not choose the same 4 alts as another member.
Warning : before choosing an alt, check that on Coingecko, there is a tab Historical data (ex : Bitcoin). If on 01/01/2025, there is no price for your token, it is like playing with 3 Alts.
Explanation :
As the reference "buy" price, I will take the opening price reported by Coingecko in the historical data of 01/01/2025.
And the closing price of 31/12/2025 will be used as reference "sale" price.

2024 was a very good year, let's hope that 2025 will be just as good.
For the last years, I've been organizing this little contest. First in the french section, now here since 2022.
The idea is to make a small fictitious portfolio on January 1st 2025 and to see on December 31 2025 who has performed the best.
Suppose that you have 1000$ and you want to make a small portfolio with 4 altcoins. Which ones do you choose and in what proportion ?
Restrictions :
You can not take BTC (or wrapped BTC etc...).
You are not allowed to put more than 50% of your portfolio in one altcoin.
You must put at least 5% of your portfolio in each altcoin.
You can only take one stable coin (or none).
Take at least one altcoin beyond the 100th position on Coingecko.
You can not choose the same 4 alts as another member.
Warning : before choosing an alt, check that on Coingecko, there is a tab Historical data (ex : Bitcoin). If on 01/01/2025, there is no price for your token, it is like playing with 3 Alts.
Explanation :
As the reference "buy" price, I will take the opening price reported by Coingecko in the historical data of 01/01/2025.
And the closing price of 31/12/2025 will be used as reference "sale" price.
