I think that soon or later regulations will take place. It will be a lot better if regulations start  from places like Russia, not US or EU.

If this is news is good to go with then it will help the cryptocurrency to gain more legitimate by having regulators checking the use of it. With an assurance from a government to regulate it, it will be  build confidence in the use of crypto currencies.

The introduction of such a bill by a State Duma deputy does not at all mean that he will be adopted as a law. Recently, senior officials of this country have clearly stated that the only legitimate crypto currency in Russia can be a centralized cryptorubl. This means that the rest of the crypto currency will be declared illegal. Although the opinion on the crypto currency is changing constantly and as a result, another law can be adopted.

These laws apply a lot of limitations and other issues, so I don't think is a good news. I'd prefer to have such regulation as in Belarus, where you don't have to pay any taxes and don't have any limits.

Cryptocurrencies are decentralized currencies and regulation from the Russian government seems a contradiction. Of course it's a good idea to try to stop illegal activities like money laundering, keeping an eye on exchanges in order to protect the customers. But it always turns out to be for other reasons, governments want to get their share.

Regulation can damage the development of the crypto currency. If you read the analysis of this law, you probably noticed that it sets limits. For example, limiting the amount that can be invested in ICO. This greatly upset many citizens of Russia.

Great news,A new law in Russia has been proposed which is aiming to regulate and control the production of cryptocurrencies and digital assets in financial sectors.
The newly proposed legal framework would properly define regulatory requirements for cryptocurrencies, ICO's mining and traiding. The law was also proposed in order to curb or stop illicit and illegal activities that might be contracted with cryptocurrencies.

Actually most of the countries are accepting the bitcoin nowadays but the problem is they are trying to regulate a decentralized technology.
But it is a good thing too, which stops the cryotocurrency usage by terrorist or illegal activists but the con is we have to pay the taxes for using cryotocurrency.
Not yet regulated they are just planning to do,hope to get a good news from Russian ministry.

IMO their only goal is to collect a proper taxes.
Russian law is not bad and I read that they are even giving the miners 2 years as grace period to adapt.
Grace period was made by Belarus president. And not for miners.  Grin

Regulation of the cryptocurrency is negative. This is bad. According to the official version, they say that they will fight against illegal actions committed with the help of cryptocurrency, but in practice they will simply tighten the nuts and put taxes.
''regulate and control the production of cryptocurrencies and digital assets in financial sectors'' - this is clearly not the interest of people who work with crypto currency!

Good news! I wait for a long time when the Russian government officially recognizes the existence of cryptocommunitie. I read the project of the law: there are no any sufficient restriction. But I think that imposition of taxes will provide legalization of cryptomoney on the whole market (not only cryptomarket).

I think Russia has a plan before to create their own coin to be use by their country so this maybe the reason why they are imposing regulations for cryptos . This is not bad actually this would help in the full adaptation of cryptos in the world market I'm just concern about the idea that if they will have regulations it would be easy for them to do anything on cryptos even illegal activites which no one will ever detect.

Controlling crypto will affect everything in blockchain. People wants to invest in crypto because it is decentralized and it limits tax in Philippines. Making it under control will not be accepted by the investors. That would greatly affects blockchain.

Well this is really good news if the countries intend to regulate bitcoin so that it can be implemented properly in their current economic situation but if the real purpose of regulating cryptos is for the government to have the control over cryptos for their own sake I don't think this would be a good idea though it is indeed true that thru regulations illegal activities can be prevented but thru this regulations also officials can manipulate cryptos for illegal activities

Regulation of cryptocurrencies is something that is bound to happen at some point. And I would not deny that there are advantages to this move such as you have mentioned above to stop illegal activities linked with payments made via cryptocurrencies. But let's be honest with ourselves, even today with regulated cash transactions and and bank wiring, there are still illegal transactions made with physical cash. There is still money laundering and all that. I don't think regulation will curb or stop it, but I think it will to some extent slow it down or make it harder for illegal activities to be paid via cryptocurrencies. Let's no forget however, that with regulation comes tax payments, and the joys we are currently experiencing tax free with cryptos will be heavily reduced, and it its the financial institutions and governments who will enjoy these benefits.

I hate this kind of regulation. Governments want to make us their bitches so they can impose their useless high percentage taxes on us. Some banks also supporting this like my friend from India told me that he got notice for trading cryptocurrencies and using international exchanges. Even the countries own exchanges are facing withdrawal issues.
I've seen some news that gives a lot of explanation regarding a lot of bank in india is trying to halt those bank accounts that related to the crypto trading activity. But we can't do anything as long as the crypto still depends on the centralized exchange site. So many problems in the centralized exchange site. Especially US-based exchange site. But rusia regulation is not very strict like china or the even US.

I don't think BTC is made to be used by the government. I don't agree that the government should have power by being able to implement policies over BTc since it is a universal resource. If it comes to a point that the government will be able to regulate BTC the universality of it will be compromised.

Already almost every country has a statement on cryptocurrency, they try to control it and test try blockchain technology.
I think the government has started to analyze and see the good side of cryptocurrency.
Do not get stuck with their speech, they just want to have full access into the decentralized network.
