I am using Team Viewer, and feel as though it meets most of my needs. The only thing that I can't do is remotely reboot and launch back into Team Viewer. So for 90% of issues, it covers it. For those rare cases, it would still take someone to physically reboot the rig and restart Team Viewer.

Your best bet would be TeamViewer, the easiest and most efficient way to keep track of your mining rig, even the free version should be enough.

teamviewer is doubtless the easiest but clearly not the best method.
if security is important you will not choose this way.

However, keep in mind to take the necessary precautions when leaving a machine turned on 24/7. Plenty of things can go wrong when having one or multiple GPUs functioning at 100% load. A single power shortage or voltage spike could turn badly for your GPUs.

Thank you for all these answers!
I'm a bit of a noob about remote administration tools, I need time to understand those programs (except TeamViewer, which seems really easy to work with).
The ssh way seems also interesting, but I have no knowledge into the argument, so I have to document a bit. Also because I don't know if I can control the pc with the phone, in this way.

The fastest and easiest way to get this done is by using TeamViewer. I use teamviewer version 12 for my 3 rigs and it works flawlessly. I'm mining ETH on nanopool so i usually get email alerts whenever one of my rigs go down. I can then login to this rig using teamviewer and do a manual reboot or I can simply use teamviewer to automatically restart the rig.

One downside of using teamviewer is that you wont be able to reset the rig if it is frozen. For that you will need those auto USB reboot watchdogs. They are not free tho.

How much does a teamview license cost?

VPN is also an option but with ssh you are good to go with just one program. Remote desktop in my cases with metered traffic has never been an option because of the very high bandwidth requirements.
Depends on connection type? I never had problem with VPN and rdp to my windows machines

I have many GPUs behind a 3G modem with 2gb data plan, but I'm sure that i'm a very specific case and in larger operations 3G modem is even not considered.

Greetings!

I am in need of a program which allows me to control remotely my computer, not only on the same network, but also from outside. Do you have any advice?

Thank you!
your only friend in this case is VPN, you have to options, first is more secure and more stable than second, so
1st is to get a router with a VPN connection and set it up, cheapest options are TP-link, Mikrotik etc.
2nd option is to set up a VPN on windows itself and open ports to that machine so that you can connect to same network via one PC and control entire LAN.
As I mentioned second option is not reliable and not recommended, on all my farms I use VPN routers and I'm able to connect, control and monitor them all together.
You can also use software as teamviewer or anydesk, but also not recommended.

That's too much hassle and if you are that concerned (whatever your are concerned with) instead of buying hw just setup an AWS machine with openvpn server, use bundled easy-rsa for keys, push into workers and be happy.

Google remote desktop is what I use and I'm quite satisfied with that. You need only google chrome installed with remote desktop addon on remote machine and it works nicely.

Is there actually a more valid option othen than TeamViewer? It's a superior tool IMO

I don't think there is a more superior tool at the moment. You can install Teamviewer, create an account there add as many miners as you like and control them from whenever you are even on the go as Teamviewer can be installed in a mobile phone too. That is how I control my miner from my work and I see what is going on there, use it to change algorithms on Nicehash directly from my phone.

ssh or reverse ssh in case of CG-NAT

minimal bandwith consumption, very fast access, also very steep learning curve

lol, very steep learning curve.

OpenWRT router with dynamic DNS client (if you don't have a static IP) and OpenVPN server installed to connect to your network. SSH or maybe open source VNC to maintain your devices. don't use android or windows to login.

They are good solutions. I tried them. And they worked well.
