This is a welcome development as there are some people that make good and quality posts here but are not rewarded (merit), so bringing this topic is very good so that people who also see tangible post can report it for merits as this are the ways we can help build ourselves in this industry. So I like this initiative and I appreciate your efforts towards enhancing a favorable condition for all and sundry.
Great development. Yet I know say some person's go see qualities on others posts but dem no go report am instead dem go dey look at who to or how to report their own post (s).
Well I just read through the thread about the guidelines and rules on how to report the required quality posts then there I pick one interesting line way some people fit no care about that states...."You may get Merits if the links you shared here are useful".

I been never come across this thread before I apply for the huge black thread since I submitted seven post only I for use another person own wey be from our side make am up to ten but since em say the application go be once in a month, I go try dey add other people own but what if you go add person own then later the person come go submit em own post again hope say wahala know go come out?

I got a notification about this thread earlier when it was created, checked on it a few minutes ago, and I noticed a lot of our S/brothers have made reports of their posts in there, which is a good thing that we are to use the opportunity wisely. I don't have much time this period, if not even as I'm not that always active on this one local board, I can still figure out a few quality posts that lack merit and could have done justice by reporting them for merit.
For those who have already submitted an application and the number of posts is not up to the 10 maximum required limit, it will also go a long way if you can still add posts of other members that you think are worth meriting, as not everyone will have the privilege of coming across the thread and doing a self-report. So IMO, it will be nice if we can also add the posts of others from our local board here.

OP this one make sense and as some of una wey don fly go their go report post wey make sense wey suppose chop merit I salute all of una at least we dey promote our hand work and our local board for this Forum.

I think this is good because I didn't read this part of the whole story... Although I was actually thinking if you report someone else post they may feels is that person's alt account so this made me to stay clear from other people's post.
I think it was even the report other users posts that was clearly emphasised in the OP's post rather than reporting one's own, although all of them are still on the rules and not against the rules anyway.
I just realized that most members might also be thinking and picturing things the same way you viewed them in regard to others thinking they are reporting the post from their alt or something of that nature, but those shouldn't really be a limit or reason to not report it as everyone has different opinions over things, and you being the users who reported those posts knowing fully well that they are free from such allegations shouldn't bother you at all.

Yeah that's true nwada you don talk well and e go make sense well make e no be like say we are just after our self interest only and the good thing be say it's actually allowed in the thread by the merit source @hugeblack because most of the awarding application doesn't permit such rule of posting other users thread. Well me sef go try my best to find out some post too wey deserve merits but haven't been merited yet and see to it that I submit for the growth of our local board.

I just checked the hugeblack thread and I’ll say it is a very good initiative and if other merit sources that are been allocated plenty of Smerits can do the same, it’ll really help members of different local boards in the forum.
I also noticed that most of the applications there are mostly from our local board, and that shows that other members of other local boards have enough merit sources that have been distributing and doing their voluntary task for them as usual. When Theymos is accepting new merit sources, I hope he considers our local board merit source applicants too.

This is a good initiative by hugeblack. I think many people would find this thread of his very much deserving because so far there have been lots of application by local board reputable members In becoming a merit source as their various local boards are lacking merits as most of them do not comment on global thread where some merit sources do more activities than the local board.
Just like us here, we lack merit Source and with this initiative most locals that are lacking in merit would be encouraged to do more because they would start seeing the results of their efforts here through this little medium created by hugeblack pending when we get our merit source approval from Theymos.
