The detractor to OP's comment does not realize that being desensitized is exactly the problem. You say these things don't effect you, and therefore should not effect others. This is called privilege. I appreciate that I'm probably going to get flak from the people out there who are obsessed with their own ideologues of how people should behave but they piss me off so:
