You cannot tax bitcoin because bitcoin is not owned by anyone (decentralized), but the government can implement tax once you convert that bitcoin to currency owned by that government i.e. BTC to PHP. What you have earned through that transaction is taxable.  It is also known as "income tax".  They may tax you through the exchanges you are using i.e. coins.ph through their KYC feature (the one imposed on the exchanges by the BSP so that exchanges can legally operate in this country and also to avoid/detect money laundering). So, clearly, there is implemented regulation in place and since there is regulation in place, we must pay our taxes.  They know who we are.  So, if we don't want our government to ban bitcoin, we should pay our dues (even though we hate it).  Since the government is implementing a new tax law next year, those earning 250k and below annually is not taxable. So, we can still enjoy our earnings.  Wink

At paniguradong madami pa itong maaaring pag gamitan.

Hello World!
I guess it's good. Btc will be more effective and can be used widely in the Philippines if it will be regulated. If it will be legalized, users can avoid scam and the btc community will be centralized. However, there will be a small change in the profit and maybe, the government will use their sovereignty to either control the btc or its financial state. We all know that this will take long way and process, but who knows, maybe one day.

I love donation, BTC: 1P3TzmdoTJGafGWjoezDMudUb5zY
Government regulating bitcoin is against the idea of decentralization, however, if that would happen it could bring more benefits to the crypto market. Taxation may be enforced though if regulation may transpire, but that would also mean stricter rules, thus, lesser fraud possibilities, more acceptance and trust of the public. That could further mean that the banks may backup digital currency with bank notes or fiat money, more accessibility to trading for traditional investors, more liquidity for money transmissions anywhere in the Philippines or throughout the world.

Napakaharap at napakahabang proseso.

A friend of mine told me yesterday while nag punta siya sa BPI, and he mentioned about bitcoin and coins.ph, nag lalabas daw ng memo yung BPI, pero not sure kung totoo kasi wala naman pong nakalat na balita sa social media.
