Your guide on how to advertise on Bitcointalk is one of the best and most detailed resources I have read recently. If that doesn't deserve to be pinned, then I don't know what does. You are part of that industry and you know what you are talking about. I do agree with those who suggested creating a poll. It's much easier for the admins to check the poll results when making their decision than going through multiple pages in this discussion to see what the community thinks.

I like the idea but it wouldn't make sense to pin it in the Gambling board, when the signature campaigns are being held in the Services section.

To be honest, I'm not sure how you're going to resolve this issue. Maybe all the gambling companies look at this particular Gambling board before choosing to create a thread here, in which case it would still work out if you had it pinned to that board.

I'm certain that casino operators will check the gambling board first for announcements of their casino. Casino operators are directed to the service section only upon the recommendation of members.

We see a new announcement of a casino in the gambling section, and the OP is not wearing a copper account, and his design is bland. Members will recommend checking the service section to hire designers and campaign managers.
Hopefully we'll get this topic pinned.

Would you be so kind and just clarify what your post is:
#1. Is it in favor of the pin or not
#2. Is it suggesting a change in the location of the pin

I will need to communicate all of this to the moderators so clarity is important Smiley

Agreed! I'm in favor of pinning this topic!

Many may argue that the guide will only be useful for casinos, since sig campaigns are mostly dominated by casinos, but over time other businesses such as swap exchanges and others not related to crypto will adapt to the forum.

Many complain that the gambling section doesn't have relevant posts, but since a guide with indescribable quality like this one appears and is well-written, SirJohnVonSlotty certainly spent a lot of time writing this guide and thinking about improving the forum in terms of marketing.

Really good help with loads of data systematized in one place. Big help for any new company that want to try to leverage bitcoitnalk in its marketing. Would love to see this one pinned. Educated customers are also great thing for us managers since we don't have to explain everything from the begging.

Thanks for creating the thread @SirJohnVonSlotty

I'd like to post my support of putting the thread in the pin post in the gambling section; this will stop members from doing recommendations from getting a copper account, designing a thread, or launching a campaign without giving a concise reason why they have to do that, with this pin post We just need to point the casino operator to this pin thread, or the casino will see this first before he signs up and plans his action before creating an account here.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
A very good thread;
I have to say that I don't know if there's any clear rule for pinning a post in the forum.
Don't get disappointed if your post don't get pinned;
I say this because in the past, I have seen a good post with 100% efforts made by the then Ratimov titled "Beginners and help encyclopaedia", something like that but it wasn't pinned;
Chiwell suggestions of using a poll is valid, have you tried editing the post and see if you can add a poll?

Meanwhile, I give my 1 cent in support of pinning your post.

I just finished reading the thread in question and to be honest, it's busting with alot of really good information on how advertisers can go about advertising their casino o. This forum.
The thread is indeed a masterpiece that deserves some special kind of recognition, and what's the better way to recognize an highly informative post if it's not to pin it so that every one can have access to the information contained in it.

Anyways, I support the flag, the thread deserves a pin in a gambling board.

That is a detailed guide backed up actual facts, count my support too.

I don't know when was the last time the pinned threads were shuffled with the recent ones but this definitely needs a place ASAP in the gambling section for the very same reason of most active running campaigns are casino banners so giving them appropriate way of doing it will solve much work for them.

Remove signature campaigns and 90% (and I am being optimistic here Tongue) of the forum traffic is gone, and since vast majority of them are the gambling ones, you can imagine what would have happened. So yeah, I think its in the forum's best interest to have more (gambling) campaigns.

It's true, without signature campaigns forum would lose huge part of traffic. Maybe not 90% instantly, bu teventually probably yes. But as I already said, we can't deny possibility that gambling signature camapgins may be banned one day because of regulations.
In general, I support OP proposal, but I'm getting impression that theymos aren't very interested in commercial part of forum and I'm not sure that he is going to put some effort to attract more signature campaigns to Bitcointalk.

Advertisers should be educated properly, and this guide offers that, kindly vote for the pin with your comment.

Yes after scrutinizing the flux around the signature casinos here in the forum, your analytical views and ideal to get this problem get ride away, I support the opinion of the Pinning proposal as it'll amplify a robust that's to yield, vendors, forum potentials and of course anchors on the entities to be sustainable to attain greater values of interests not just to promote the market but also for the best interests of ensuring adherence acquisitions.

I am not that much active in Gambling section but I know OP invested a lot of time creating that post, and he knows what he is talking about.
I also think that pinned topic can be very useful for every new crypto related business in bitcointalk forum, not just for casinos.

I support your proposal and I don't think it will be necessary to insist much for the thread to be pinned. There are measures taken in the forum (or not taken) that sometimes surprise me but I don't think this is going to be one of them.
Overall, pinning a thread for that specific purpose should be considered by admin, there is no harm in adding it. It will give new advertisers some scope about how to proceed if they have never visited the forum before but most advertisers really should have at least read through some posts/threads to research the basics before making their decision.

I support your request.
I believe this thread was created after a made a comment in your post as to why the thread was not pinned. When I stumbled on the thread, I had a good read. All the information seems to come from experience but I am not sure if you are a campaign manager and how you gathered such experience.
After a small time you were away, I see your posts popping up again especially after you received 100 merits and have now applied to join a signature campaign. How many accounts do you have here?

+1 for getting the thread pinned.

Shortly, forum have no interest in atracting more gambling campaigns. Bitcointalk don't get anything from these ads.

You very much opened my eyes to what is is behind the curtain to running campaigns and long advertisements on the forum. It’s such a nice piece you have there, an exhilarating read but, one that is what every minute and gives insights on how to get it right.

To get down to it,
I don’t know what is the criteria for pinned post. Though I might buy the idea of long term campaigns with advertisers not hoping to get results in the short run or a quarter of 4months, what really would define certain campaigns or brands to be deemed worthy to be pinned.
Also, in what order might this be done if we eventually have an over flow of campaigns looking to be pinned. Just like we have in the bounty campaign section for an analogy.

Wouldn’t an active community behind the Ann thread serve the same purpose and in a way, project only the best brands?

Nothing against the guide being pinned to the respective section.
I believe that many campaign managers are even grateful for the guide.

I think we could try to attract other types of advertisers, not just casinos and the like.
The forum has the potential to have other types of ads. We deserved it.

Would you consider making it general for all signaturess and not just casinos?

I would like to focus it on gambling and online casinos, since that's where I have hands on experience. It would be pinned in the gambling section.

Would you consider making it general for all signaturess and not just casinos? I think the admin may be more willing to pin a thread to serve as a guide for all projects entering the forum and not only casinos.

Or will you be willing to have this pinned in the services section?

I glanced through the thread and it's definitely a nice one and has good explanations based on statistics too. I think pinning it is a good option. But another thing is how many of the coming casinos will take those things into consideration. Pinning it would definitely make it more visible but still not all will take it that seriously.

I am probably not the only one who saw the influx of new casino operators on to the forum with signature campaigns, just for them to leave after only a few months.
Sometimes I think this would be a very difficult problem to tackle . That's because managers too know how much potential some signature campaigns have and that's how seriously they pick participants. You find out that campaign managing too is a service and if one manager rejects some other will definitely accept the offer.

i'm also in favor of pinning the guide.
some may argue against it since it's mainly for casinos, that is true, but most of the points apply to other businesses as well.

Furthermore, the amount of votes would determine the thread being pinned by mods, so comments or posts would only be ideas or highlights from the thread.
no matter how many votes in favor the poll gets, it will be up to @Cyrus or @hilariousandco whether the topic gets pinned or not.

How about you create a poll? Hence voting would be made simple (afterall that's the essence of poll) instead of people repeating same thing / flooring the thread with irrelevant comments.

Furthermore, the amount of votes would determine the thread being pinned by mods, so comments or posts would only be ideas or highlights from the thread.

Just my one cent opinion.

Good job @OP

But I see some reasons why it can't be pinned. Shortly, forum have no interest in atracting more gambling campaigns. Bitcointalk don't get anything from these ads. And who knows, maybe gamblings will be banned on Bitcointalk one day, same like it happened with mixer campaigns.
And also, there is so many great and useful various kind of guidelines made by forum users, but you can't pin all of them...

I am probably not the only one who saw the influx of new casino operators on to the forum with signature campaigns, just for them to leave after only a few months.

The solution to that problem, in my opinion, is a complete guide for all the marketing specialists who join the forum and want to advertise on it, so I've created a guide for them to make it easier to organise signature campaigns and set expectations for them. You can find it here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-advertise-your-casino-on-bitcointalkorg-5525102

Why I think it should be pinned:
#1. I am from that industry, I'm an active forum member, and I was a signature advertiser, meaning that I'm familiar with all three aspects of the deal.
#2. The guide is complete, and involves everything an operator would need to set up a deck for their stakeholders, from the recommended spend up to the vendors.
#3. The guide can improve the stability of the forum in terms of signature campaigns, with more stable clients, we can ease off the stress that many users have since they are switching campaigns often.

Advertisers should be educated properly, and this guide offers that, kindly vote for the pin with your comment.

And, obviously, if you think something is missing for it to get your vote, do tell me, and I'll try my best to incorporate it.

Changes suggested and implemented:
a.) Z_MBFM suggested to update the table and add trust score, this has been implemented: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64947868
b.) LoyceV suggested to use images for trust score, this is being researched: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64949677
c.) Churchillvv suggested for future pin requests to use the pool, this has been noted: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64949953
e.) Agbe suggested to add more campaign managers, but the pool of good quality individuals with casino and gambling experience is small, so this has been noted and explained: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64956103
