Very well-detailed, comprehensive guide op. I have noticed several people creating similar threads in the past, but this is the best one by a mile. You covered all the important parts in a concise and organized manner.

Honestly, the most important part is the community engagement part. So many sites just announce their ANN threads and don't engage with the community periodically which ends up harming their reputation in the long run.
Absolutely right.
I have also long noticed that the OPs of such topics often treat BTT users' messages rather irresponsibly and thus obviously create some negativity in relation to both the topic and indirectly in relation to the project itself. In my opinion, this carelessness and irresponsibility, which usually begins to manifest itself in the long term, creates an image of ordinariness or even fatigue from the project that is advertised on the forum.
But in general, this is unacceptable. It is absolutely clear that everything that is designed for really working advertising on the forum should last even longer than 4 quarters. I think that this period should be considered as the most acceptable in the long term for about 3 years.

It's nice seeing you around again @SirJohnVonSlotty, your style has been unique here, not to mention your elaboration on things, it's top-notch. Although this post is more operator-inlined, it's good for everyone open to learning, who knows how it can be useful later?

I've tried my best to read some, oh my...I can't complete reading it in 3 days with my busy schedule. Smiley

a good one like ublock origin (i believe is the most popular one used by forum member) does block signatures.

I'm sporting Ad Block Ultimate on Firefox Mac and it lets them through, but I don't think that's a bad thing, I actually used this as an USP for my stakeholders.
I believe all those blockers are good for websites with pop-ups, clickbait and annoying backlinks. Signatures here are better structured.

Interesting topic @SirJohnVonSlotty ...

Although I haven’t finished reading it yet, but I’m already impressed by the information I’ve read so far...Feels like this might be the first time someone has written such a comprehensive and detailed guide about advertising on the forum. Considering the value it provides, I think it might even deserve to be pinned as a top thread.

Thanks for showing your love for the forum  Cheesy

Too Little, Too Late.
from what i have noticed, only crappy ad block extensions don't block signatures.
a good one like ublock origin (i believe is the most popular one used by forum member) does block signatures.
How is that possible? Do they have bots that manually check Bitcointalk signature campaigns and block the signature code? Or do they block any 3rd party URL that's on the website? Does anyone know how it works?

nothing that complicated. lol

for ublock origin, it's quite simple really. the extension just looks for the div with the class "signature" and adds the following css display rule:

Code:
.signature:has(a[href]:not([href*="bitcointalk.org"])) {
    display: none !important;
}

    • Tracking is a Headache: Forum users are smart and often bypass tracking links. Performance might appear low at first, but I’ll explain tracking strategies later.
    • SEO Value: BitcoinTalk has significant SEO power. Work ethically with your SEO team to leverage this for your brand.
    • VPN Traffic: Over 75% of the forum’s traffic comes from VPN users. Be ready to handle this, or don’t bother.
    • Scammers vs. Defenders: Expect scammy messages when people know you’re an operator, but build trust and the community will defend you against false claims.
    • Don’t Be a Dick: Respect the community. If you accept VPN traffic, honor winnings. Pulling a bait-and-switch will get you publicly shamed.
    These are exceptionally good values that are often left without attention. I and many other customers don't click on affiliate URLs, I manually type the URL of the website because I don't want to get affiliated with someone, I prefer more privacy.

    SEO value is also huge. During Covid, I tried and put my own website in my signature instead of participating a signature campaign and I discovered how greatly can Bitcointalk affect website's SEO. My website was a brand new website without backlinks, I put it in my signature and Alexa Rank became significantly better within days, I also noticed more traffic from Google. The most benefit effect I got was from a few ANN threads where I had made a post on the first page. One thread even had a Page Rank 6.

    Though, the beauty of signature campaigns is that a lot of the ad blockers don't notice them, so when you're working with an educated crowd like us, you can still penetrate through us even if we have ad blockers installed.

    I like this thread and well deserved to be recognized. This is going to be one reference of the other crypto casinos that will consider on running a promotion through the forum.

    Thank you all for the feedback Smiley I've updated the section for Review Campaigns with more info.

    I'll continue updating the sections as I go, since I'm a bit tight on time right now due to project shifts.

    it would be great to have a guide on how to participate in these campaigns in the best possible way (if one already exists, I apologize).

    I'm thinking of maybe opening a thread to make it easier for Campaign Managers to find the right people. I'll keep you posted.

    I have one question about the forum advertisement, what do you think is more effective, making a signature campaign or paing directly to the forum for their ads sports?
    Do you mean between signature campaigns and forum ads? Well, if you're talking to this forum, forum ads were stopped a year/s ago, so the comparison is invalid already. And they are different ads, you can say signature campaigns are more on engagement in the community for the long term, at least a year, just like SirJohnVonSlott said.

    It was a great read, I will definitely revisit this thread and re-read all the content, as it's one of the few posts that actually has practical validity, this guide serves as a bible for newbie casinos on the forum.

    I have an idea: I've never participated in casino review campaigns(or any other service such as swap exchanges on a paid basis), it would be great to have a guide on how to participate in these campaigns in the best possible way (if one already exists, I apologize).

    Many casinos ran sig campaigns for a very short time, most of them lasting 1 - 2 weeks at most, it may be that they didn't take the managers' suggestions seriously or realized that they didn't have enough budget to run a campaign for longer. Maybe if they read this thread, they could plan better.

    Yet another great content from, op. TBH, it would be great if this become a sticky thread.
    I was thinking the same thing, I mean, this thread is great and a detailed explanation of what to do and expect when advertising a casino here in the forum. members could easily redirect new casinos on this thread if they are planning on advertising here.

    I would support it if someone made a poll for this thread to be pinned.

    also, great thread SirJohnVonSlotty!

    But for now, I have bookmarked this for future use. For I can definitely see myself—as well as the others—suggesting this to new casinos who come here to establish a presence

    A small suggestion, though. I think it'd be a nice touch to also add this thread of Overview of Bitcointalk Services from Bitcointalk Members that has a list of our graphic designers as well as campaign managers for easier navigation.

    Great job SirJohnVonSlotty, it was exciting reading all these detail explanations as to how the signature campaign and other promotions can be effectively run here on bitcoin talk, I like the fact that you as once a project owner who ran a signature campaign on this forum coming up with this analytical tool to help projects achieve the best from their forum engagement, keep it up.

    Also, the part I love most is where you made clear clarifications about the ability of some knowledgeable newbies to deliver like every other rank in the forum, and their inclusion in forum signature campaigns, at least and I hopeto see that project owners start considering that.

    In my opinion this thread is next to none in forum about creating in-depth awareness and exposure to newly interested casinos who will want to engage their brand with the community. Just reading this thread is gonna give them every details they would be needing to start off.

    Well-done @SirJohnVonSlotty. one more thing, I will recommend if the admins could pin this post to stay at the top of the board for ease access for new casino agent's that visits the gambling board for insight.

    One of the great examples how to advertise casino in bitcointalk forum is Sportsbet.io and everyone should learn something from them.
    They are very active with community in this forum with many prediction competitions and they support many ideas coming from bitcointalk members.

    i really enjoyed reading this! so much great info Wink

    for those who are not part of the crypto gambling industry, the info @SirJohnVonSlotty shared might seem like normal good info, but trust me, it's worth a lot of money for an operator.
    big respect for sharing this with everyone for free.

    I would recommend every new casino reading this before creating ANN topic in bitcointalk forum.

    not just new casinos, old ones too can learn a thing or two. in fact, some of the recommendations would work for any project or service wanting to join the forum, not just casinos.

    Wow, I'm very happy to see your post because no one has said it like this. I have noticed in the forum that new project managers who come to the forum are often given various types of offers for promotion.

    But from here, some people offer other aspects and other aspects in very small numbers. Even though they get sufficient promotion from the forum, other technical aspects are not completed from here. That is why it is seen that the promotion is very good, but technically, many things are not done well, and that is why the balance is not right. If this balance is right and attention can be paid to other sectors along with promotion, it will be the best, and the path for the project to move forward will become much easier.
