Can anyone help me with this?
I am afraid no one can help you in this regard except the person who gave you ratings.Btw you are just a newbie with only 4 activity points,I dont think it would be such a problem for you to abandon this account and create new one

I'm a cynic, I'm a quaint
You come back after not posting for almost 2 years, necro this thread without actually acting on any of the advice you were given and expect people to help you? The account name you picked is suspicious. So is your behaviour.

No. Unless you start taking advice no one can help you.

I can help:  Pick a new username.  Did you not fucking learn anything in 2 years?  Do you not understand that it's a common method of scamming, impersonating someone by choosing a username that's really close to a trusted user?  Just pick a new name and move on.

Did you read the postings from 2 years ago? Only the people who gave you negative trust can take it back, and it does not looks like they are inclined to do so.
Even though you probably like that account name a lot you should really consider using a different name if you want to avoid the negative trust. There just have been too many impostors on this forum, so the preventive negative trust is quite understandable.
Since you're still a newbie with very few postings, you would not even lose significant activity points or membership rank by giving up this account.

I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!

You missed other imposters. See Members' list [1], you can see a few imposters on front and if you navigate through many pages, you can see. I think it is quite natural here and you may know it much better than me. Smiley

You are right. It's false feedback but I don't care because he's untrusted as well.

If people are dumb enough to not double check the username of a well known member and end up getting scammed then I have very little pity for them especially when you have a whole ranking system and title system that lets you easily distinguish the old members from new, some of us even still have avatars!

I agree with this...

I don't know about insta-reporting or giving negative feedback the moment they register, that's a bit harsh, but I think if they do actually try something like asking for money that should definitely get them flagged. There's a classic problem here where you simply can't regulate human stupidity, if people aren't going to check usernames and addresses carefully before a big transaction then that's their problem.

...But not really this. If people are very likely trying to imposter someone a warning/red flag should be given and we shouldn't wait for them to scam first to do so (though yes, you've still got to be pretty slack to get scammed by these people but I've seen it happen many times before).

This actually reminds me of the whole gamersgate flame war going on right now, a company that re-sells games also happened to be called gamersgate and people, being stupid, decided not to double check whether they were even affiliated and threw a fit over it so the re-seller had to make a statement to clear things up, because people are stupid.

i think you should remove negative feedback and give it a neutral trust rating.may be he is a legit user, better give him a chance.about confusion on name , all people who deal with redsn0w know with his green trust rating
a green trust and no trust rating is already a big difference.if the user found involved in any specious activity then give him negative rating with a solid reason and shut his mouth
I'd have to dig up specific cases in the scam accusation section, but you would be surprised how people sometimes do fall for it.

Here is an example of such imposter scam. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tried-to-support-the-forum-and-advertise-and-got-scammed-pls-help-665923

Yup, it seems obvious enough "theymo5" is different from "theymos" together with the huge difference in their trust and activity level, but still ...

If you like your username, maybe at least change, so it's clearly visible you're a diferent user. Use ReDsNoW or something similar and I'm sure you can come to an agreement.
If he likes his username then he should learn to live with negative trust. When I saw the username who created this thread, I initially could not tell the difference, and it was only when I saw that the OP only had 3 posts that it was clearly a fake.

IMO even using caps would make it easy to mistake the OP with the 'real' redsn0w, especially considering that the OP will eventually rank up to a full member when it could potentially make it much more difficult to tell the difference between the two as everyone may not know his 'true' ranking

That would still be a cause for concern because people could still confuse them and that example you gave isn't possible anyway because changing the case wouldn't work as he has already taken that name. Simply adding caps wouldn't work.

No I dont escrow anymore.
want to see what administrator and other senior members of this community say about this

Trustratings are not moderated. You can keep your account and do whatever you want, but the rating will most likely stay. If you want to trade here, create a new account. If you just want to post and read here this should not be an issue.

i registered today and within few seconds of registration i got negative feedback from user here
i don't even know what i did wrong
he just give me negative feedback because of my user name

i don't think it is a trademark name

you can't give me a negative feedback just because of my username as a reason

the user say that i m a scammer while i was here since last few minutes
he says i scammed him with 50BTC , i want to ask if this user ever seen 50BTC btc at once or even any of his family member did this

stop guy
give feedback when you have made a deal with someone,

i request the administrator of this forum please look into this and solve this,
It is fairly common for scammers to make a user name similar to an existing user in an attempt to trick other users into sending bitcoin to the wrong person. When these accounts are discovered, people will give these new accounts negative feedback. Except for spam, feedback is not moderated so do not expect an admin or mod to remove it for you. The only person who can remove it is the person who placed it. Pretty much your two choices are making a new account with a different name or accepting the negative feedback on your account.

I'm really quite sane!
Just wondering, would you consider removing the feedback or at least changing it to neutral if the OP produced evidence that they used this name on other websites? I agree that people should be aware this is not the real redsn0w, but I would also be upset if I was prevented from using my usual name online simply because someone else went by the same one already. "Redsnow" sounds common enough to me that someone else could independently come up with the name. Or he could also be a future scammer who is just playing dumb to have the feedback removed, who knows.

The potential to scam is just too high. The negative trust means that the OP will get a warning to trade with extreme caution. Unless the OP wants to start some kind of business then it will not affect him. If the OP does want to start a business then he should create a more unique username.

You are right it is not a trademark, but someone looking at your username could potentially confuse you for him, which may allow you to scam.

As long as you are not actively impersonating him you will likely remain free to continue to use your account, but you will probably get banned if you try to impersonate him.

The negative trust is to warn others that you are not the person who has positive trust

but his name is not a trademark
if he have positive trust then it didn't mean that he misuse this to give negative feedback to others with any valid reason

i don't want to create a new account
i will continue with this account

It is probably a misunderstanding. There is another user with a very similar username that has positive trust and runs an escrow service.

I would suggest creating a new username
