Betting without research means you are gambling blindly.
And what's wrong with that? I mostly make blind bets and have good results.
It is extremely naive to assume that your research can be more accurate than the research of bookmakers (who take into account tens of times more parameters than you). The bettor's chance is to find inefficiencies in the odds (although this somewhat contradicts my previous statement).
Each person may have a different way in betting. You shouldn't follow OP betting style, you can use your own way. If you think you don't need to take a research and rely on the odds prediction, it is okay as long as it works for you. Well, I know we even have odds checker to know the chance to win of each team in the next match (
ex: oddschecker.com). They must have made such analysis from the whole aspects of the teams.
I guess what he means by making research before betting is checking the head2head statistics or the teams before placing a bet ~~
Commonly, people do a little research about:
- head to head
- stats of few last matches
- players fitness (including injury factor)
- where the match to be held
