Okay Mine was shipped out June 3rd and arrived July 2nd.  He even sent it with tracking, even though I told him it wasn't worth the money for something so low priced.  Unfortunately, I think I threw out the envelope with the return address.

Number 2 from the first batch where they were encased in more resin?  Or from the second batch where they were just coins?

Good point.  This is the first batch in resin.

He posted pics of the gold coins in resin complete, so I don't see why he wouldn't ship them unless there was some sort of emergency.

He had those pictures up before he even completed mine, which was the first one ordered.  I was a little surprised when he sent me a status update saying he hadn't finished up my coin yet, since he was already selling a second batch.  I'm wondering if the coins shown were actually for the first batch.

Has anyone received anything yet?  I haven't and mine was number 2.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one who got one.

Haven't received mine yet, either. I still have faith, I don't see why he'd go through the in-depth act it would seem he did just to scam.

I think it might be something more like a kid who got in over his head, and couldn't keep up or ran out of resin or ran out of money or something, and he dropped out.  Like that guy who was selling bitcoins for cash in the mail, got caught with his pants down when the price jumped up, and just disappeared.

It'd be nice if he would have refunded the BTC if that was the case.  But hopefully the coins will start showing up.

Anyway, does that make my limited edition of 1 / (up to) 10 from the original batch even more valuable?  Selling for 5 BTC...  Grin

Here are a couple of pms from him, rephrased by me to the barest minimum to avoid breach of privacy.

Everything is fine, I am still mailing the coins, and I hope to send the last shipments tomorrow. I've been sanding them for a while.

It is starting to seem weird. As someone else asked, has anyone actually received their resin coins?

FWIW, I did get a coin from the first batch, the ones that were encased in clear plastic.  I think it was last week.  But it did take longer than I expected.  I think he just didn't realize how much time it was going to take to scale up operations.

Hang in there...

I bought one of those too but I haven't seen it yet.

I find it hard to believe it's a scam. This is his flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7992295@N06/. Looks legit to me as long as he really is dodgrr and not someone who found his account and he just happen to make some resin bitcoins, lol.

I sent a PM to him a couple days ago, he said he was still sanding the resin down for a lot of them and was sending them all out as fast as he could.

If your order got in relatively late (I believe I was the last person to order, for example), don't worry about it, demand for these was obviously way higher than he expected and he only does resin as a hobby.
