First. Relax. Take a breath. Most problems are resolved without issue. Especially for people who have backups.

Nothing changed with respect to the password or would have reasonably been expected to cause this since the prior version (0.8.3). Trying an older version wouldn't be my first suggestion.

Please answer each of these questions, even if you think they are not relevant:

What version did you just install?

What version were you running before?  (a guess is okay if you don't know— or  when did you last update?)

What operating system?  

When was the last time you unlocked it?  

What are you trying to do when you unlock it?

More details please.

How do I do that? How do I roll the version back? I have several backups of my wallet.dat
