Bittrex has asked people that have multiple support tickets for the same issue to log into their support account and delete all but their original support ticket. If they are trying to mess with people then sending them lots of support tickets is not going to bother them one bit and it's not going to help you. If they are processing all of them by hand like they say then clearing up multiple tickets for the same issue will help speed things along.

Wow bittrex has removed all the middle name from the name of the user who had a middle name. Now this person with middle in his/her id proofs are not getting verified with the reasons, document type is not correct, i have mailed thier support to verify me manually. I am really frustrated, i bet bittrex will lose all its business if its trying to scam people with this tactics. Hope they solves user verification issues as soon as possible to bring in faith of people

A request for verification is not a wrong signal. Request for additional information is just a security check. Should it happen that your account is hacked, you will appreciate the need for such checks. It could be that some attempts were made to hack and they have to up their security check and here you are raising alarm.

Nobody know how long it will because they're the only one who can solve your problem,
some people got their account back for more than a week, other people got it for a month and etc etc.
keep asking them about your problem and your situation,
if you get the response from them, usually you will get it for less than a week.
but if you do not get anything from them,it will take a little bit longer than usual

I don't know what to think about Bittrex, It seems to be one of if not the largest exchange. I have signed up with them last week and done a basic verification. Then I opted for an Enhanced Verification and sent a picture of my pasdsport and a selfie. Ever since then, my account shows: There was an error processing your documents. Impossible to now contact Bittrex through my account with them.
All I can do now is pass on Bittrex.

Careful guys, some idiot is sending out links to a bittrex "unlock form" which lead to some exe file which probably contains a trojan.

I would like to issue a warning to all users about the Bittrex.com exchange.

They lock accounts and demand enhanced ID verification for no apparent reason

Take action today (withdraw all funds) or be faced with the selfie ID procedure without warning

I am facing this situation for <1 BTC account balance

I already did my ID verification to raise my trade limits.

So no concern for me

I am going through the same nonsense as well.

I deposited ETH on their site to buy an alt coin.

Their instructions for first time users (which I am) is to make a test deposit for a smaller amount to make sure your funds arrive in your wallet safely.

So, I deposit $100 worth of ETH without issue. Then I deposit the other $1,100 worth of ETH.

As soon as my $1,100 hits the account the account gets locked and I need to now prove to them who I am. WTF?

These jokers take your money, and then insist that you prove who you are before allowing you to withdraw it.

If they had made people aware that this is their policy I would of at least had a choice, but the sleezeball way that they have the site designed lures you into thinking that you can just sign up with a basic crypto account and begin trading crypto for crypto............nope.

Absolutely a scumbag way of running a business and has certainly created a bad taste in my mouth.

Bittrex decided to enable my account without further hassles
The whole situation got me quite worried, I spent some precious time trying to resolve it, but in the end I am happy with the outcome

I would like to thank all contributors in this thread, how do I mark it as "resolved" ?

You can edit the topic title to add [RESOLVED] in the beginning; and then lock the thread.

Bittrex should warn unverified users about this. It's unacceptable to allow deposits without the user knowing their withdrawal policy. Looks like a trap to me.

I did not find any information about it on Bittrex website

I'm sure that Bittrex has sufficient grounds on to request for this ID verification for you, it should just be a small hiccup for you, what is wrong for you to give ID verification for them? I would recommend trying to contact them via their twitter, facebook, email or slack. Still seems pretty suspicious for the site to allow you to deposit around 1 BTC and then just not allow you to use it or even deposit, maybe a word with them should fix it. You may have posted in the wrong section since Bittrex didn't scam you at all.

I think this thread is posted in the right section since it still concerns an accusation.
Its up to Bittrex to decide if this gets resolved or it becomes a fact (meaning I permanently lose access to funds).

Since this might not concern all users of Bittrex, I would like to inform that before this situation appeared my account had status "LEGACY" with withdrawal limit of 1337 BTC.
Now it is of status "BASIC VERIFIED" with withdrawal limit of 1337 BTC.

There is still NO INDICATION whatsoever that the account is disabled.
I can still freely deposit funds, no warning will ever appear about the disabled account status

Pretty scammy, shady, doggy, suspicious, foxy, tricky, sneaky or what ?  Embarrassed

Scam or not, shady or not, who cares how to call it

Its FUD to some people, until it happens to them. Then it gets quite realistic

The fact is that they let me deposit funds (<1 BTC) in a disabled account with zero (0) balance, without any warning about the disabled status, and now they are asking for full ID verification (passport + selfie)

At the same time they allow completely unverified accounts withdraw up to 1 BTC /per day as someone mentioned before in this thread

I say that is not right

I say beware
