I can suggest you to open your seed phrase through mycrypto desktop wallet. It will help you to know what address that contained by your seedphrase.
I have ever encountered this problem and this solution is fixing my problem. Try to download mycrypto destkop wallet then you can go to the menu view and send > open through seed phrase through mnemonic phrase menu.

SRP (secret recovery phrase) will only recover your main wallet on Metamask, if you create another account/address, SRP (secret recovery phrase) cannot recover those accounts. To be able to recover accounts or other addresses that you created, make sure that you have previously saved the PK (private key) for those accounts, if you don't save the PK (private key) for those accounts, then you won't be able to recover anything. To get PK (private key) for each account/address in Metamask, you can go to Account details => Show private key.

Note: each account/address has their own unique PK.
I agree with you, it seems that OP only publishes its main account and not other additional accounts when OP creates additional accounts, even though each account will have its own PK, so that when the main account is turned on with a phrase, other accounts cannot participate. Apart from importing another account number in Metamask, it's easy to restore it with PK. Maybe OP didn't understand the issue of using metamask, that each additional account has its own PK.

AFAIK, the only way to recover it is to use PK (if a new account is added), this is something that newcomers should be aware of to always know everything before using something. I've never used the method mentioned by @TastyChillySauce00, @OP, you should try the method he suggested, I'm curious whether it can actually recover your lost address or not, although I'm not really sure it will work.
Indeed, I think op should try what forum friends have provided information for improvement, because I myself usually import accounts with PK to add to metamask and never from metamask itself directly, just the beginning. Maybe there is a difference or, At that is a way that can be done, at least it can return what he has to himself that he feels has been lost, of course there is no harm in trying to do it, rather than doing nothing. Good luck.

I am using Metamask for the many years, it’s normal thing if you will delete Metamask (Chorme) extension and you will re install then you will see only main accounts, you have to import Private key manually to see your other sub accounts. You don’t need worry about that because your tokens will not be lost.

Op if didn't see you token then don't panic and you are not in any problem or trouble and all what you have to do is to click on import token hyperlink at the bottom of the app. Please follow the procedures and get back your token.

When you click on the import token, then on the search bar type the token name. Example: Ethereum then click import. One thing you have to know is that, you have to know the particular network you used because there are different Ethereum names are on the list.

And after clicking on the token name then you click on the import and it will successful imported

Hi all, I restored my metamask due to the fact that wasn't able to connect anymore (chrome extension), I deleted the addin then reinstalled and restored using the recovery seed phrases

the metamask had 3 "sub accounts" with different names, some eth and some other tokens

after the restore i see just one account and zero eth nor tokens, please help i am in big trouble

It sounds like there might be a couple of issues in your wallet. You can try this out:

1. Restoring MetaMask with Seed Phrase: When you restore your MetaMask wallet using the seed phrase, it should regenerate all the accounts and their balances associated with that seed phrase. However, sometimes there can be issues with the restoration process.

2. Syncing Issues: MetaMask relies on syncing with the Ethereum blockchain to display accurate balances and transaction history. If there's a syncing issue, it might not display the correct information.

Here's what you can try:

1. Check the Correct Seed Phrase: Ensure that you've entered the correct seed phrase during the restoration process. Even a single mistake can lead to a different wallet being generated.

2. Check for Multiple Accounts: Sometimes, after restoration, MetaMask may not automatically display all the accounts associated with the seed phrase. Try switching between accounts in MetaMask to see if your balances appear in one of the other accounts.

3. Check Network Connection: Ensure that your MetaMask extension is properly connected to the Ethereum network. You can check this by clicking on the network dropdown (usually at the top of the MetaMask extension) and ensuring it's connected to the Ethereum mainnet or the appropriate network where your assets are located.

4. Check Transaction History: Even if balances are not displaying correctly, transaction history should still be available. Check if your past transactions are visible in MetaMask. If they are, it's likely a syncing issue rather than a loss of funds.

5. Contact MetaMask Support: If none of the above steps work, it's best to reach out to MetaMask support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific guidance or troubleshoot the issue with you.

If you import your wallet using seed phrase, it means you've access your wallet and not losing anything. But, if you import your wallet using private key, you're only recover one address.

If previously you have coins and now it's disappeared, your wallet is compromised, so better to clean your device and create a new wallet from trustworthy and open source wallet.

Don't worry, nothing is lost you just have to manually add other accounts so metamask will restore the same 3 you had before with obviously the same tokens you had on them

Just as said, if they're on the same seed phrase then you have nothing to worry about it. As mentioned, I've experienced that before and all you have to do is to add those accounts back and then they'll be back.

Keep on adding until they're able to be seen. So you just go ahead and add account and you'll be able to see them again. So, do the suggestions here and keep us updated if you're able to retrieve and see them back again.

There is nothing that can be done now. You have restored your wallet and added the above network. Automatically your coins in there would be showing by now but is not just like you have said. This means your token has either been hacked or attacked by malware. If it has been hacked then all your coins are gone. So sorry for your loss.  On the hand if it is attacked by malware try restarting your PC and import your tokens again using the contract address if it is still there it will show up at once.

Youre not in trouble, since you restored using private key then you might need to add again the wallets cause it will not be visibles once you imported it. Its normal its not compromise or what, thats a standard when you are doing it on a new device, mobile or laptop.

Yes if you have any tokens in your metamask wallet and you can restore that wallet to metamask then you will never lose your tokens. on the chain where your tokens are BSC/ERC20/polygon you can scan your wallet in the chain's explorer to see if you have tokens in your wallet. If it is there and doesn't show by default in metamask then add it custom via contract address. hope your problem will solved  easily

Each seed phrase contains almost 20 ethereum addy, it means that if your funds stored in one from 20 addy generated by the seed phrase.

the metamask had 3 "sub accounts" with different names, some eth and some other tokens
i know that and your funds stored in another address.

after the restore i see just one account and zero eth nor tokens, please help i am in big trouble
Your seedphrase was randomly recovering your unused wallet. Your funds are SAFU but it needs to opened through use another wallet.

I will provide pictures to make it easy to understand.

1. Download wallet here https://download.mycrypto.com/

2.

3. Enter your mnemonic phrase (I used random seedphrase)

4.

You will see that window will pop-up

5. Search your wallet which is containing your funds then choose and click unlock. You will able to log in on your sub account again.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Try adding new sub-accounts like how you did beforehand. Afaik this happened to me once and I just did that to restore the wallets that was in there before together with whatever token/asset they had. Take note this was like 2 years ago or so, idrk if metamask changed things but a quick lookup resulted in a couple of guides doing the same exact thing still. Assuming you only made 4 sub-accounts, then adding 4 new ones should restore it.

i don't have any data from the previous (4 accounts) just the public keys

If you have restored the metamask wallet with the mnemonic phrase, Goto Add account or hardware wallet. On there, choose Add new account. All your previous account would be restored one by one. The address would come up in the same order so add 4 times to get 4 accounts. You don't even need to remember the public keys, mnemonic phrase restores all the public and private keys associated with it.
If you have restored the wallet with private key, you can't restore your previous wallets.

I think you don't lose your ETH and tokens.  It's just that when you reinstall your Metamask, it only restores the original account that existed when you used the Metamask for the first time.  The account on metamask represents your ETH address.  To restore your lost account, you just need to re-import your other ETH address so that it will be another account that is not visible at this time.  I hope you still keep the private key for the other wallet that you said was lost.  without it, you are really in trouble so you have to find your private key to see your assets again.
