what miner are you using for ZEC?

I bounce from all zec to all skein to some of each.

I guess and do it manually as switching multi-pool software is always chasing the hot coin.

It is also far harder on the gear.








those two katanas want the asus to leave them and they want 2 more katanas

 ZEC changed that for a brief while this morning during the spike - it's still up a LOT even now, but I think it fell back behind some of the skein and groetsl coins (intermitantly, those coins are ALL small network hash and tend to bounce around on profitability a LOT).

I am so heat capped it is amazing how much more gear I can don if heat was not a killer even with the big summer power rates I get.

I will be selling off an Asus 1070 and a msi 1060 and a zotac 1080 is spoken for I am going to my friends place this friday.

i will add 2 katana getting the rig to 4 katana's just because I want to see it run.
I may move this into the solar array as we can do a few more watts there.

With skein and other algorithms performing much better returns on Nvidia cards, why are you still mining zcash Phillip? Is it because of the stability?

 Vega is aimed at the 1080ti, not the 1070.

 THAT power comparison is pretty close, the question is how the performance compares.


 The one that doesn't make a lot of sense is the "Eclipse", unless it's intended to be a way to take Nova GPUs with one bad CU and do something sellable with them.

 kfa and galaxy are the same company, it probably IS the same card with different brand labeling.

 I doubt it's viable, since the card exhausts a lot of air out of the side of the card, not all out the back or part back and part top.
 Cooling would be a MAJOR issue.

My second card came today  I set rig up.
They come back in stock in 3 weeks in USA.
I am getting more.

Looking at the pictures (I didn´t get one by myself) the cooling system
seems similar to what I have seen at Quadro 4000 and Quadro K4000
which have nearly the same TDP.

The TDP of 275 watts is bad if true.

Note I will be deleting any more on the NOVA.  As it is 100% speculative and does not belong here.

It also is a two  slot  card               with a TDP of 275
The Galax Katana is a one slot card with a TDP of 165.

This is comparing completely different items.

Doesn't  look like you can fit 4 x 2-slot cards in either of those cases, though. May not need it for this build, but perhaps for the next one

 Very good price while it's on sale - my favorite Thermaltake V34 (or the V35 if you prefer top controls) with 8 card slots is usually less than that one.
