Not running out of space, no. 1TB HD and 125GB SSD. Bitcoin is on the HD, Armory on the SSD.
Great, definitely fine for space, but good to know.

Bitcoin Core finishes loading complete. Then I'll start Amory.
It runs until it hits 180043 then says it's complete when it's not.
Worth checking where Core has got to in the sync process too. From the Bitcoin Core client go to Help > Debug Window > Information.
In Core 0.18 this was moved to the Window menu. So Window > Information.
Check that the value next to "Current number of blocks" is greater than 579853.

I could run Core 0.18. But are there compatibility issues with some core versions paired with Armory versions?
Yes but Core 0.18 and Armory 0.96.5 do play nice together, thankfully. Core 0.17.1 would be fine too if you wanted to avoid the latest release still.
I can't compare with this Laptop to my old desktop. But my old laptop required older versions of both in order
for me to use my wallet on that machine.
There definitely have been some compatibility issues in the past and probably more if you were on a really old version (such as Armory 0.93)

I'll go ahead and try load the 0.18 and see what happens.
Good luck. There will likely be more steps after that but it helps to fix the simplest things first. If I've not explained something clearly enough don't be afraid to ask Smiley

Some quick questions:
Any reason you can't run Bitcoin Core 0.18?
Has Bitcoin core actually synced fully? Block 180043 is from 2012.
Quite unlikely given it is a new laptop, but you're not running out of space on the hard drive, are you?

Alright folks,

I've kind of poked around here looking for the answers myself.  Embarrassed

Now I'm running out of patience and time. My old, and I mean 10 year old computer
just would not load my wallet anymore. So I bought a new Dell G7 laptop running Windows 10.
Loaded Bitcoin Core 15.2, Armory 96.5. Restored my wallet from backup.

Wallet says it's connected, but I think the RPC is an issue from what I've read here so far, as the text is purple
and stuck at 180043 Blocks  Angry

I'm no computer specialist, I'm rocky at best of it, which is why I'm seeking help.

I need this thing fixed, and I'm not begging or crying for help. I'm looking to pay someone to help me understand
and fix this issue.

I have screenshots of Bitcoin Core, Armory Wallet and dblog.txt file, I just can't paste them here.  Sad

Whoever helps me get this thing fixed so I can use the wallet will be paid. In BTC of course.   Smiley

Cheers,
Mark
