This is awesome. But when I've done transactions using multibit these have taken over an hour to validate! Surely this would need to be completed before someone could leave the physical shop?

IRL grocery outfits are a big key to mainstream adoption, I've always thought this, and so here's a vital part of the puzzle edging into place. If they turn the trial into a permanent operation, they can expect a sudden wave of miners waving their smartphones around at the checkout tills...
