I find your avatar offensive, rude and disgusting.

You should be banned or at least have your avatar deleted.

You must have a strong western post-WWII cultural bias

On a side note, it's been impossible to change/remove avatars here for months

And how do you propose an actually useful altcoin would actually emerge if not for all this nonsense?

I find your avatar offensive, rude and disgusting.

the bubble is not over - the last few alt coins just have been pure shit.

Unfortunately I don't have any skills, because the smallest innovation would give full attention to any new coin.

EMC2 is not pure shit.

Sure it's resting in peace, not because it's dead, but because it's sleeping, patiently waiting for some small innovation and sufficient press release.

Litecoin is crashing, so, yea.

LTC is extremly overpriced right now due to few months of Gox madness of the similar proportions as "We will ship soon" trickery by BFL people. I ain't gonna buy LTC until it is under 0.01
because after all is taken into consideration and evaluated it is just another altcoin.

Overpriced is irrelevant, it is still crashing from where it was. So, back to > Litecoin is crashing, so, yea.

this. the fact that the last few have been complete shit would probably make the next EVEN REMOTELY innovative coin be a much bigger success than it would otherwise have been.

Looks like it is all over.  New coins are being released every hour.  Miners, even zero hour adopters, are getting nothing in exchange for them.

I declare the Alt Coin Bubble over.

Time to switch back to Litecoin or Bitcoin take your pick

Then you lose most of the user base who does not have an ungodly farm.
Smart move if you want to kill cryptos

If this is true then initial distribution of cryptocoins by mining is about to give way to something else, probably a centralized solution.

Maybe this userbase should concentrate on building Bitcoin services instead of mining. The opportunities and profits can and will be unthinkable for those that succeed. But the innovators and hardworkers will be the ones that grasp these opportunities by the horns.

Of course if that all sounds like too much hardwork and effort, concentrate your efforts into CrapCoin2020.

Maybe it's time to stop using words like crapcoin/scumcoin/scamcoin and let the market figure out the best way to promote their ideas.  Seriously, can you picture your CEO/CIO (if you are that person, congrats) sitting around the forums talking about the 'lols' of scamcoins?

Ok, waiting for the witty digital hipster rebuttal.  (My opinion) I feel so many here rather be ironic than be profitable.  There are 100s of soft drinks, are they scamdrinks because they target smaller markets and exhibit similarity in taste? If a coin finds a market, fantastic. People worry so much about what they don't like than focus on push what they do like. I guess that's 'Internet cool' but it doesn't attract the big money.

this PPC the only other coin apart from BTC that has a good active dev

This recent explosion of coin clones has really underlined what an asset Sunny the PPC developer is to the community and what a strength he is to the PPC project. Even now he is still actively improving and strengthening it.

I'm only mining new coins if they help solve a significant problem that an existing coin doesn't solve and the launch is fair. Things like CureCoin attract my attention and anything to do with progressing our understanding of other things. Everything else seems like spam and this forum is progressively being overtaken by 12 year olds whether either in physical form or of mind, so anybody with a more mature, selective forum for crypto discussion would be very welcome at this point.
