Its an interesting idea, not sure if it will suceed or not.  Maybe they can replace Liberty Reserve with it's  high fees.

Ripple is doing another giveaway to whoever signed up for their email updates or news on or before May 9th. If you can't wait use BitStamp for your first 300 at a cost of .02 per ripple and buy the rest using the ripple wallet because you will get a better deal that way. I got the giveaway email today, but it just says the gveaway is coming sometime in May. Whatever you think about Ripple, they are a legitimate company with some big time venture capital behind them. If the whole thing gets going without running afoul of regulators and bankers regulations it will be good for Bitcoin too.

Ripple is seemingly trying to gain respectablilty by getting press in the "mainstream" internet media if there is such a thing.  I for one can't wrap my head around it as of yet since it's not really in practice yet.  I would however like to keep an open mind.  I missed the original boat on bitcoin.  If this succeeds it just may be a game changer?

Would someone like to start me out so I can activate my account and start to contribute to the community?  It states you need 300 ripples.

Anyone else think this may be not a scam?

Here's the address if someone will be so kind as to help me out.

Thanks!
