I think it's temporary. XRP has no such prospects as Ethereum or EOS and many other coins.
Ripple is now the 2nd coin in the total valuation of available coins.
Ethereum lost it's 2nd position which it was holding for years.
What do you think? Is this change in position a temporary or is Ripple has established itself as the leader of alts?
It will really be a tough call for XRP to get back to its $3+ ATH. But be that as it may, I don't think it even matters who leads on the log. What investors and traders are after is the trading price of any coin as that is what translates to profit. Just imagine what happens if XRP trades at the same price as Eth...I bet you, more millionaires will be born immediately. Ethereum lost it's 2nd position which it was holding for years.

congratulations to ripple for defeating ethereum. but this is only temporary, because if ethereum gets up, the ripple will return to its original place. I've seen keadaa like this and the average is only temporary. so don't expect that the ripple can defeat Ethereum. if the ripple price is still below ethereum, it's hard to survive.
Market is Volatile, it is unpredicatble, no one knows what will happened to the market during the day to day trading. the way i see it, it may be a temporary set back on the side of Ethereum or it is a shift of investment which maybe base on the investmen put in by the investors for Ripple.If the market show stability on the status of Ripple as dominante ALT on the market then, it a sad story to Etheteum. Ethereum is again back to its number 2 position and I am sure it would stay there for a long long while. Bitcoin and Ethereum are meant to be the leaders and they shall stay the leaders.

As you can see, xrp did not stay in second place in terms of capitalization for long. I think it was just an accident.

Ethereum is weak just becaue of the project that are built on top of it. When you say that Ripple dethroned it, I cannot agree with you, because hegemony of ETH had been long enough, while XRP need to become a stable leader. If most of projects, which use ETH will be able to become sucessful, ETH will be on the rise again. Remember my words.
Ethereum is still in the number two spot as of today, but ripple can be a good investment in the future with its cheap price at the moment. I don't think it's another trap of the whales but it's worth it to try though since it is in the top three of most famous coins.

They are both good investments! If you invest same amount of money in both of them , in some moment one will be more pumped and vice versa. Hardly they will have groundbreaking news at the same time and thats what moves the pump!

It's an extensive pump for Swell and before long would be trailed by a dump while Ethereum would even now be in its pace.

To lead the first rank may take time, Ripple has begun to show its quality. With the increase in Ripple, Ethereum is on the verge of decline and this makes competition more attractive. In my opinion, Ethereum will not be silent and continue to improve their quality, besides that Ethereum remains superior in price compared to Ripple. Even though the price is Ripple below Ethereum, maybe this is a good coin to invest and if the Ripple gets better then of course it will benefit all of us.

Yes, September 21, 2018, has become the historical date for Ripple. I do not remember the fastest growth of this currency. It is really amazing for those guys that were holding XRP for many months.

But as for checking the CMC again, ETH is back to #2 and XRP to #3. At least it was able to get to #2 but I guess the ETH bloomers are back again. Is this really the sign that we are going on a bull run until the end of the year? Its more interested if this is the bull run than looking at the rally of these two.

Nothing changed but it's only for short term and consider about this time the bearish signal of ripple has already appeared again. I have sold my ripple when it has reached peak price. Most of the coins from top 5 when there's a replacement are coming back from its state immediately. XRP is a very said pump and to those that took profits did a good job but if you are still holding it in hope for greater profits soon, good luck. It's about to get dump so sell while there's still a window.
It is really amazing how Ripple goes like these after a long days in sleep. I'm pretty sure everyone get surprise with that and may some people getting of selling their coins earlier while it is in dip. I am one of them also, I just sell it to modify my investment and buy more on eth.

XRP's performance is definitely pleasing many people in this low-end market and maybe will deal everyone in altseason! It's unquestionable the potential of this coin, despite never having used or even bought! I recognize that they have a clear idea and try their best to execute their plans! Many projects need to learn from XRP!

Similar things have happened before and I tend to think that all this is just manipulation. Be careful when investing money in the ripple, its pump may end soon , and the line will move to the next coin such as Stellar or NEO. Be ready.
We had such situation last year as well when XRP was over $3 and took over the lead between altcoins.

I so believe in ETH as one of the most valuable coin. But all of a sudden , ripple takes the second position.. But I know for sure that ripple is not as strong as to maintain that position for a long time.
