Hahaha Facts

If you invested $10,000 in $XRP on 1 January 2018

Today you’d still have $10,000  Grin

If we are talking only in the investment field - BTC will always be better than anything.
Period.

Well Bitcoin is always going to be the choice if it comes to crypto. It is the biggest marketcap and when you think of crypto it is Bitcoin that does come to your mind.
But for a investor that wants to invest in a altcoin well then I would say right ow it has to be Ripple. I would say to invest in it more then to invest in Ethereum.
Alot of regulatory approvals will be coming soon for this token now the third largest. https://fortune.com/crypto/2024/12/02/ripples-xrp-soars-over-40-as-regulatory-headwinds-let-up/

XRP is on the rise currently, but let's not be foolish to see it going for a long time - I didn't hear anything other than that SEC suit being off for it to be staying the way it is.
Once the overall sentiment on the market is over, we may see another drop in its price again.

I've been in cryptocurrency world for 10 years (since 2014) and in those years I've found that a lot of things change (prices drop, coins disappear, exchanges shut down, governments change, regulations flip flog, ...) but two things are always constant:

1. Bitcoin will always go up
2. Some people will always think some centralized shitcoin is going to replace bitcoin

Smiley

Some have too much faith in XRP - especially now during its increase in price.
Those two were created for similar reasons, but with different structures - thus, they can't be compared due to their nature, but people still think /speculate different things about them.
BTC is the way to go.

There are things that can only be invented once, like, there will never be another Beatles, another Elvis... or another Bitcoin.

The XRP's upward movement is just speculative to me, and says more about the SEC chairman than about the currency's quality per se. I think this movement was started by speculation combined with FOMO, and all of this is leading to a distortion of reality... soon the currency will return to normal, that is, losing value against Bitcoin, as has always happened.

Bitcoin is volatile, too - but it's more credible and has more potential, in my opinion.
Especially if you are prepared for the cycle that is happening right now - the rally is in full swing.

If you invested $10,000 in $XRP on 1 January 2018

Today you’d still have $10,000  Grin
In other words you would have been better off storing your $$$ in your bank account which would have given you some interest and $10k in 6 years would have given you 2-3 grands if I'm not mistaken Cheesy

Here is another Fact.
If you had invested your bitcoins in XRP (which is what most altcoin investors do) you would be in a massive loss today because on 1 January 2018 XRP was worth 0.00020000BTC and today it is worth 0.00002000BTC which is 1/10 Wink
In other words 10 BTC invested in XRP on 1 January 2018 is worth only 1BTC today.

To celebrate and remember how far Ripple and Bitcoin have come got to throw this here and to acknowledge their all time high Smiley

A prayer to Ripple

Our Satoshi, who art in blockchain,
Encrypted be thy name
Thy transactions come
Thy will be done on ASICS
As it is on Github.
Give us this day our daily mining reward,
And forgive our zero-conf double-spends
As we forgive them that double-spend against us.
And lead us not into alt-chains
But deliver us from Ripple
For thine is the mining rig,
The hashing power, and the block reward,
For ever and ever
Amen.

Could Ripple XRP replace bitcoin before it is widely accepted?
If ripple allows users to send money instantly and almost fee free, with a pretty and easy to use UI.
Plenty of money to burn on advertising and reputation building.
Business and Financial connections likely to get them accepted on large merchant sites.
Why would the average person have any interest in Bitcoin?

More important could Ripple become controlled by business or government?

I'm not suggesting any of this is fact.
Just wanna hear the opinions of people that actually know stuff.

This is not the first time people think a coin will replace Bitcoin due to one or two features that it has
The truth is that Bitcoin is the foundation of the crypto currency world, and I believe strongly that it can't and won't be replaced by any coin. not that i have anything against other cryptocurrencies. I still have other cryptocurrencies in my wallet, but the earlier we all accept that Bitcoin can't be replaced, the better
