let me guess... :-) well i don't know if this will be regulation year, maybe 2018 is best suited for this position but who knows, one sure thing is that xrp is an hybrid in respect of other crypto because of links with traditional financial insitutions, that can be the strong or the weak point, or the same at the same time!

I expect something like 20 cents rise in Ripple price this year as well. Ripple's centralized nature will balance out its price always in future.

Impossible to predict.

If China central bank which is in talks with Ripple according todays announcement, pick Ripple, the value will go so high nobody can predict. China banks have the biggest market in the world!

In addition when Ripple lock down the 55 billion XRPs in escrows the value will shoot up. This will happen this year.

Then we will see skyrocket value increase when RippleNet goes live for the first time. Also promised to happen this year.

$0.22 is just a tiny fraction of the value XRP will have soon. Will surpass Ethereum easily and will go past Bitcoin eventually Cool

The thread is of ripple price prediction by year end 2017. So, when I said "Ripple wont touch that price" it was for this time period. Sure, in a decade or 2 ripple can touch that price or beyond when the cryptocurrency becomes 2-3 trillion industry.

I also factored in the 1 billion xrp that ripple can withdraw every month. However, going by the past stats, they are withdrawing about 300 million ripple and not 1 billion xrp. So with another 4 months left till the end of the year.. I added another 1.2 billion ripple to the current supply to arrive at the figure of 250 billion USD @ 6 USD price.

You're probably right.

I would'nt suggest any person to invest into ripple because it's mostly controlled by one company.
There are so many encouraging ideas around here that could have much higher returns than XRP.

For speculation, I think one should first try to arrive at the market share that ripple can command of the total cyptocurrency market cap.

I would not expect it to command more than 10% of the total cypto market cap.

also taking into consideration 38 bllion current supply and a total supply of 100 billion, for ripple to touch .50 USD total market cap has to touch atleast 200 Billion USD.

For this year, 40 cents should be tops if the supply remains at 38 billion or there about.

XRP as the 4th largest market capitalization of about 7 billion USD today at a current price of .20 USD, so if ever if it gives a 20 billion USD market cap then the probable prediction price will be within .5 to .6 USD, which is still viable. a 1$ to 2$ is too much high for a price this year.
