Hi guys, an indian user stole my original account , username Roidz : https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/roidz-821374

I said indian cause he starting write in indonesian or other language in the forum ( i'm italian).

An Indian user stole your account and started writing in the Indonesian Section ? I don't know if you understand India and Indonesia are two different countries.Regardless, consider that account gone forever if you are unable to provide an ownership over it.

Indian, indonesian, who cares, he is just a bastard. i had this account from years!  Angry

Can't do much if you can't prove that account is yours, other than leaving him a neg, which you did already.  Don't think DT is going to tag it either, unless you can sign a message.  And s notification wouldn't really have helped you, would it? Don't blame the forum for your getting hacked--if that's what happened.

Roidz is just a-shitposting away.  Look at him go, earning money by smearing keyboard feces all over the forum.   Too bad you didn't stake an address.  Let this be a lesson to everyone else: Stake an addy from a wallet you can sign a message from ASAP. Or else you'll end up in a predicament like this one.

This is a bit ridicolous,  no one send email confirmation links to the owner of the account. This is the only one forum that acts like this.  Useless to make accounts here and talk for years,  cause at any moment someone can steal it.

Infact also many that signed the address never had back their account.  Very sad the rules of the forum.

So what can i do to make the life of the scammer much harder?

Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords

If you use any sort of Google email service, then the password recovery email will go to your spam folder.

If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile.

I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. If I point you to this thread, you can't prove ownership properly, and then I ignore your future PMs, this means that I'm not going to recover your account. Create a new one.

Send one PM to either me or Cyrus. When sending a PM, use a template like this:

Quote
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
My account has been hacked/lost. Please reset the email to . The current date is .
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Here is the unedited post where I posted that address: ...
OR
I sent that address to someone in a PM with PM ID#...

All required info must be in one PM.

Do not create your temporary account using the same email address you want for the hacked/lost account. No two accounts can have the same email address.

Read the stickies in PLAIN sight and follow the directions closely.

i read all, but i can't sign a btc account, cause i made the account some years ago and i never thought at something similar to recover my address. Think that i discovered trezor only 2 months ago!

i have access to the original email that was changed, why there should be problems with it? only the owner can access to the original email... just send some confirmation there and i will prove that he stole my account and he changed the mail.

he should be ashamed!

Hi guys, an indian user stole my original account , username Roidz : https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/roidz-821374

I said indian cause he starting write in indonesian or other language in the forum ( i'm italian).

He changed the mail and i can't recover my account. Why the forum do not warning when someone try to change the email? He changed the email and i can't enter and not even recover it!

( he changed the mail, look : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=821374 )

I can tell to moderator also the old email. To prove that the mail is mine, they can easily send a link or something to the original email and i can click or confirm it cause it is my email.
Or they can also check the ip address of registration or from where he writes. There are many ways to prove that he stole my account!

Please, do something, i want my original account back!

Thanks.
