The thing is, if it gives you more money than regular rollbots, like if it means owning them would give you more rewards, or even dividends or anything that would mean more money in your pocket, then it could be s-it emoji and I would still wager that a lot of people would pay a lot of money for it. Doesn't mean that something like ronaldo or messi won't get a lot of money, that potentially could but it also has a risk, if you pay those players to do it, then it would cost a lot, if you do not pay for it then it would be at a risk of infringment and both of those would be bad. But a regular emoji should be free, and if the utility is there, the value will be there.
I agree, it doesn't really matter who the card is based on, as long as it has good utility, and I agree that even if it's like some Ronaldo card, people would be going crazy over it, so both sides would work. A card that you have amazing utility AND looks like ronaldo or messi would also mean that we are talking about amount of money that would be too overpaid for sure.
Like if the value of it individually be 10k or 50k or whatever, that could be 5x of that easily if there is both utility and also resemblance. That is mainly because people would be hyped and say that if the utility is there, they could make that difference back anyway, so they would be fine about paying more than it really worths.
