I'd be interested in knowing how much of the Coca-Cola dip was led by algorithm (HFT), versus how much of it was actual, real live humans making trades. Probably one of those things we'll never know, though.
Probably the algorithm did much of the damage, the sell-off was way too fast for most traders, especially since the US is not that interested in football and especially a news conference after a game in Europe.
