Let me know how they work on the big 49er, if you're still wanting to arrange something.

Thought I would post another picture.  Dustier than I thought but not the permanent location.  4 of these are running on Rasberry Pi 2 which is running Minera and 1 is showing more hardware errors others are fine.  1 is on the solo stick pool maintained by philipma1957 on my Windows 10 PC running CG miner.  Tempted to buy another 5!  Shocked

Queue updated. I have about 35 sticks left before I have to gather parts for the next round, which depending on how things work out in the next week I might be able to swing it without having to tack up any preorders or a long delay. I'm hoping to lose at most one week between finishing out this batch and starting the next. With luck it'll be less than that.

My big bulk sales are past. Every small order has shipped. I'll probably have the next three bulk sales ready to ship on Friday, which includes Australia GB. That leaves three bulk sales, the oldest of which came in one week ago.

Sodium hypochlorite, acetone, ethanol
New hub and tester showed up, let the fun begin!  Well, as soon as I can stop the Comms error and get bfgminer to see the sticks on my XP box, and install Linux on a laptop, and and and...

Just 2 sticks for the moment with this hub, other 2 are busy on another box.

have you tried Novak's cgminer version?

Yeah I already have the 49 port one with the 60AMP Power supply but I figured for the guys with only a few sticks the 10 AMP one would do but for the money the 49 port is the better value I just ordered another one for some more sticks i just ordered

yeah the 60 amp psu is powerful but not efficient.

you should have this psu

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/nes350.pdf

and it is only 78%  but should be able to do every port.

this one is 87%

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/lrs200.pdf  will do 32 sticks

the hub is cheaper here

http://www.eyeboot.com/10-port-usb-hub

 or get this

http://www.eyeboot.com/49-port-usb-hub

http://www.eyeboot.com/Bitcoin-miner-Accessories?product_id=74

with this psu

https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/lrs200.pdf

https://www.trcelectronics.com/View/Mean-Well/LRS-200-5.shtml

as this psu should drive 30 sticks on that 49 port with overhead and is very efficient.

Well darn it, why didn't you post a day or two sooner?  Tongue

I already have the 4 amp hub I linked earlier shipped to me, I think it's good for 4 sticks.  If I need more juice I'll order the 10 amp from eyeboot, thanks for the links.

Updated the shipping queue. I got a few small orders in over the last few days, which are all going out. The first big US-domestic reseller shipment is going out, and the second is ready but waiting for a label. After that I have 134 sticks in six large-queue orders to send out. I'm going to try to have all of them out by next Friday.

Pretty soon I'll be out of parts and have to scrounge up for another batch. We brought in enough stuff to make 500 sticks. I was hoping they'd sell faster (and orders would get filled faster) so we'd already be buying the second half parts but it'll work out.

Thank you for the hard work.  Things will pick up steam I'm sure once the resellers get a hold of them.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

This one looks like a company took the Orico I just linked and did a bit of work on beefing it up:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JEVRXQA

Maybe I'll go for this one instead.  I only have 4 compacs, so I think it's adequate for those OC'd a little, plus a fan.

this is in the listed features:

Code:
Built-in surge protector; over-current and instant current protection
- Protects connected devices and hub. Supports hot-swap, plug-and-play, easy to use.

maybe the overcurrent protection is on the ports (not the power supply itself) and would limit the compaq power draw?

I bought some USB hub from minerjones, maybe you could grab something great at a good price. At the very least the thing i bought were at great prices and i even got some extra toys, the USB fans for buying sort of a "bulk" of stuff Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1154383.msg12307990;topicseen#msg12307990

If not, that usb hub from amazon might do the trick if the port can handle a couples of watts.

This one looks interesting for the all-in-one lottery machine that I was talking about. It's got a high power charging ports with data (no Y splitter needed), and they indicate that it works well with the RPi. They even have a picture of it powering a Pi and extending the number of ports.

http://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Charging-Adapter-Support-Android/dp/B005P2BY5I/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1442621985&sr=1-1&keywords=external+powered++4+port+usb+2

Certainly this is not for everyone. But for the purposes of making a single stick lottery machine based on the RPi, this seems like it could be a good option.

The question I would have is whether the stick can use extra power on a BC 1.1 port. I would think the answer is yes, but I have to admit that I don't know anything about the USB Battery Charging 1.1 Standard.
