The statement as a whole still stands, because it's qualified by "at this time" and the post is datestamped well before the S7 was released. So, technically yes it's accurate.

Without the qualification of that description being set there about five weeks ago, no it's not really accurate. However, if I were to say "being shipped" then yes, it'd still be accurate for another three or four weeks.

Gotta admit though, the S7 has me beat.

yeah it does but not everyone wants a 1200 watt monster heat maker.

the real question is  those the only 2 choices  we have

a .3 watt 13gh

or a .25 watt 4800gh

Seems to me we need something in-between.

Yep, I'm in for a U4 or a Compac2 if Bitmain will provide chips!

In fact, it's actually the most power-efficient publicly-sold bitcoin miner in the world at this time.

Is this statement from the first post still accurate in light of the release of the S7?

Finally got my BTC lined up, will be placing my order shortly.  Cool

Is bfgminer support on track?
Yeah, might be a bit bumpy initially, but I can at least commit to it mining reliably (disclaimer: I've only tested in --benchmark mode so far :p).

Thanks Luke-Jr! Looking forward to it.

Will there be pre-built Mac OS X binaries?

If not then I can build them myself. Just want to know what I'm up against...
Usually nwoolls does the Mac binaries - but I haven't heard from him lately, so not sure if he'll continue to do so.

Yes, I've seen nwoolls work. Nice stuff.

I'm not looking for more work, but if nwoolls is AWOL and you need help with the Mac binaries, I can probably build them. I'm a Mac developer.

The robot arrived about 6PM today. Tomorrow I'll learn how to make it do the stuff and hopefully start busting out sticks. We might make our Thursday ship target after all.

super!@!

Could you post some pics of said robot working Smiley

Same here, I'm very curious regarding the inner workings, not because I'll understand the load of it, but because buttons and flashy lights Wink

Great news!

Looks like I need to get one of those USB Y connectors. Haven't gotten around to a hub mod yet.

at least we dont have to worry the world will be taken over by robots any time soon  Cheesy

At least not until robots take over Customs duties, then they can just "let in all their friends"!
