All you need is the bitcoin to get the faucet going and more later to keep it flowing. I recommend starting with around 0.10 bitcoin so your faucet wont go dry too fast and it gives time for affiliates and faucet lists to start promoting your faucet so your traffic flow will grow and it gives you a better chance at making a successful faucet.

I would recommend starting with around 0.10 bitcoin so your faucet does not go dry too fast and it gives time for affiliates to start promoting the faucet. It's also a good idea to keep the balance about at least 0.01 so people don't think the faucet will soon go dry.

It is hard to estimate profits because that will depend on many things (prizes, timer, referral %, adoption by the faucet users, faucet lists adding your faucet, type of ad networks and referral banners you use, etc.)
