Nice.

And which is the part that has cgminer installed? I'd like to get a replacement of that; I'm starting to think there may be a problem in it.

How/where do I buy a replacement miner network card with WiFi?

Edit: and it's not just WiFi. I've tried connecting it via a router by a friend's, and it still wouldn't mine. Is there a way i can get a replacement of the entire miner module (tplink?)?

you can't mine with that miner that way.
if wifi on miner network card is broken you need to get new one.
or buy some nice Access Point, use lan cable to connect miner, enable Client mode in AP and connect it to wifi that you are catching.
there is no other way.

The card does not have an antenna. I can still detect WiFi networks and connect to them, however.

I connected the miner to the laptop via Ethernet cable and entered my pool info into cgminer settings, connected to my WiFi network, but cgminer shows no mining being done. This happened before, and I think the problem may be with the tplink card. That's why I'm trying to run it through a laptop to begin with.

Check the network card inside. It should be tplink card.
Do you see wifi antenna?
I'm afraid that youll gona need accoes to any router to huck it up with your laptop to call ip address and to bring miner settings on the screen to set up wifi acces.
Router don't need to be connected to internet, you just need it to be like bridge between pc and miner.

Update:
Connect your laptop and miner with lan cable and enter miner ip address to enter setup and configure wifi.

Here's a pic of the miner: http://imgur.com/TbZ6uwO
These are 16 miners with 10 ASICs per miner. So, the total hash rate would actually be 208GH/s.

I don't have access to a router, I'm using a WiFi hotspot.

Avalon 200gh?
Antminer? Photos? Link?

It's standalone unit! Connect it to router to be on same LAN as your laptop and enter miners ip address in explorer.

Hello everyone.

I am trying to run a 200GH/s Avalon by connecting it directly to a laptop. I've opened the enclosure, disconnected the USB, connected that USB port to my laptop and run cgminer. I'm getting:

AVA0: Reset failed! Not an Avalon? (0: 94 5c c3 77)
AVA0: Idling 26 miners

Then a few more error messages like that. And no hashing is being done, of course.

What am I not doing right?
