But more and more countries will try to regulate and control cryptocurrency.

Putin never said he was planning to ban it, but to control it.
As usual these days, once rumor with no reliable source is spread on multiples websites, twitter, facebook, you name it.
I will believe it when it happens.

I am pretty sure this is not anything more than threat. They wanna press crypto investors. I don't think legality is their concern. They only care about tax money. So they will regulate.

Russia is the mother of most of crypto minds and a lot of people are involved in development, research, mining and holding the cryptocoins.
I don't think it would be easier for Russia to make their law breaking citizen abide any law.

Russian who have many cryptocoins continue to use them in any situation, they not for the first time bypass prohibitions. But this can complicate the entrance of beginners.

What the burger king in russia will now treat as a criminal activity Smiley
I have been reading this news since morning and though a little panic but I do believe that it will end as The FUD cleated in China last month by Chinese financial authorities.Banning of bitcoin activities is not the solution to crime activities in our society but putting legal flame work to regulate exchangers activities will bring control to bitcoin's in Russia. China has learned they leason and others countries should stop banned bitcoin as bitcoin not be banned.

Unless usa prohibit cryptocurrencies, it does not important. I even don't mention china. These are temporary things, but cryptocurrencies are not.

Russia never became hot on cryptocurrencies to now turn cold. that article is complete bullshit, trying to create FUD in the market. i don't know why though!
Russia has always had this hit and miss attitude towards cryptocurrencies (which is mostly bitcoin, altcoins are not even talked about really). you hear one official say crypto should be banned, another says crypto is the future and should be legal. next day you see Putin love crypto, tomorrow they say Putin hates crypto.

one things is for sure though:
Russia has not yet banned, prohibited or legalized any cryptocurrency so far.

As far as I know, there's still no acting legislation regarding cryptocurrencies.
They just create acts for furhter consideration and sometimes it takes really long before the acts are accepted!

Hasn't Russia learned anything from China?? They can ban cryptocurrency all they want and they will continue to rise. The future is here and it is decentralised. They citizens will just find other ways to access cryptocurrencies that don't involve governments.
