LHR means Lite Hash Rate, Nvidia did this to stop miners buying all stocks and leave some to gamers.

Nvidia started selling the LHR series because they wanted to make money by selling the limited warranty CMP series to miners. But when the LHR versions began to hack, Nvidia began to lose money.

The LHR thing was never loved by anyone in the mining sector, mostly gamers loved it because they thought that miners would not care about such devices when in fact the opposite happened, miners took these cards hoping in some later LHR unlock which is now happening and 75% is a sure thing now with some miners extending it further,I only predict a 100% unlock or near that number very soon within the year we are in 2022.

Once Intel comes into play things will change a lot and Nvidia will suffer even more not only in the CMP series but also in their flagship products like the RTX cards.I personally am waiting from AMD to show us some really awesome GPU-s regarding to that 7000 series,I am sure no LHR will be in place there as there was no need to,it was just Nvidia who screw things up with such parameter.
The funny thing is all those LHR cards still have high prices in my country, the sellers don't even know the difference, last time that I was sourcing for 3070s I asked many sellers here and they said they don't know what LHR or Non-LHR is lol.

The LHR unlock is progressing very well, now with lolminer you can unlock LHR up to 78% I'm sure this won't be stopping any time soon.

Sorry all this LHR talk has got me confused. How do you unlock LHR and are LHR cards OK to buy then?

LHR means Lite Hash Rate, Nvidia did this to stop miners buying all stocks and leave some to gamers.

To unlock LHR you just have to use some miner updated, like GMiner: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/gminer-v324-ergokaspazilkawpowequihashcortex-5034735 or lolminer: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lolminer-164-fastest-kaspa-miner-in-market-4724735
There are more miners who unlocks LHR, but none of them unlocked 100%, and it's simple to use, just read the miner readme and you're good to mine
Gminer for example doesn't require anything to unlock, just run the latest miner and ok

If it's worth or not it's up to you, I already bought a 3060 LHR but I sold to buy two RX 6600
You have to consider the price to buy, the hashrate and power usage.

Some quick questions. For 6 3070 ti's, what size PSU would I need and what does everyone think of the mining "boxes", instead of an open air rig?

For that setup you need at least a 1300 watt Gold or Platinum rated PSU  and I would add to that it should be a good brand like Evga or Corsair.I think since you will use an LHR unlock miner and get near 57-59 Mhsh with such card that will throw in more power usage so to be safe use a minimum a 1300 watt PSU like those I said.I would even go ahead and buy the 1500 watt version just to be 100% safe as one such card consumes near 200 watt each with the LHR unlock.

Many says that a closed case is better for Gddr6x memory which they tend to overheat the temperature memory quite quickly but even open air rig is OK as long as you provide to the cards very good additional cooling, these type of memory the Gddr6x really needs it badly otherwise it will start to throttle and give you a lower hash rate.

I want to buy 3060 Ti. Mh to be taken with power consumption is better in this card. Refunds are made in less time. Buying expensive strong cards will cause them to take too long to pay back. During this long period of time, unwanted traffic accidents may occur. Please choose the shortest card payment term for mining.

Don't buy 3070Tis because they are hard to cool, buy the 3070 non TI instead, the Ti use gddr6x and they have high memory temp issue, at first they work normal but after a few months you will start fighting with thermal pads and paste.
Buy better AMD 6700-6800 series. They do not overheat and have no problems with LHR. For video cards 3070ti and above, you need to use closed cases with additional cooling and be ready to change thermal pads. It's not a problem, but I don't want to pay that price for a video card and then upgrade it.

Hey guys,

Ive been mining for the last 4 years but my GPU's are old. 1080's and 1080 ti's. I was wondering if the 3060 and 3070 ti's are worth it? Is there a better option?

If you can find the most efficient card out there FHR and not LHR,the Rtx 3060 ti at 61 Mhsh only at 119 watt by all means that is the best you can get and don't worry much about Ethereum moving to Pos,lots of other coins to be mined and some of them with the promise of never going PoS which for me it is relaxing and I am not stressed even a little bit if Ethereum goes for real to PoS.

If you cannot find this type of card choose the next best option being the A2000 or the 2060 Super at 42 Mhsh both of them.

I think that you have the best option now if you have inexpensive electricity.
If you buy Nvidia, then I would choose RTX A2000 and other series. I do not advise you to buy shit from the LHR series at an increased price. Or AMD 6600-6800 series.

There are various graphic card options you can choose from, both AMD or Nvidia it's your choice to make.

1. RX 6600XT
2. RX 6800XT
3. GTX 1660 Super or Ti
4. RTX 2060 super
5. RTX 3060ti
6. RTX 3070s
7. RTX A2000

Make a choice, to me these are the best cards I wouldn't think twice to build a mining rig with.

Gtx 1080 and 1080ti are good graphic cards for mining but in today's world you need almost free electricity to run this cards, they have good hashrate but power consumption is very high, I recommend RTX 3060 Ti or 3070 for long term mining.
