Since this is only active rx580 thread let me ask.
In one of my rigs now I have couple of 3070 and couple rx580
I know 580 with Phoenix miner were mining around 31mhs and miner  was reporting 85-90w
Since this is mixed rig I switched to lolMiner 3070s are mining normal but with 580s power draw changed to 120-130w. OC on 580 is 1150cc and 2159mc(Afterburner) but I don't know how to undervolt it to 850mv as lolMiner doesn't support those parameters. I'm alps running AMD memory tweaker with suggested values (don't have them on top of my head now)
I hope someone can help.
Thanks!
Load up hiveOS you will be able to use 850mv using Teamred miner and lolminer or Trex miner for those 3070 at the same time, if things look confusing for you go on YouTube and search for ' how to run separate miners in hiveOS" .

Thanks for suggestion ; I was thinking about it, but most of the time my rigs are rented, so I don't really have time to play and install/figure out hiveos.

EDIT: I excluded AMD card from lolminer. - TRM is running RX and LOLminer is running 3070... all good!

so neither rx580 is suitable for new miners period...if u r just starting now it is WAY TOO late...u r better off spending on RTX30series. Best card that can be bought...lowest power usage and requires only an 8 pin. No problems with mine whatsoever....as usual.
RTX cards are still selling for higher price today it's not a good option for a newbie, ROI is way longer than those rx580 and 1660 super which are the lowest GPU for mining today, rx6600xt is another good choice.
rx580 graphics cards have not been sold new in stores for more than 1 year. Therefore, you will have to compare the used rx580 and the new rx6600xt video card. If I have the opportunity to buy 2 used rx580 graphics cards instead of one rx6600xt, then I will choose 2 used rx580 graphics cards.

The 580 are excellent cards for mining they last a long time even if their performance can go down a bit but they are very energy consuming they only need to be changed if you pay a lot for electricity

Rx580 is better if you are not paying money for electricity, the way things are going now rx580 won't keep up in bear market, better invest money on rx6600xt 1660s and others that draw little power watts.

Which rx580 you talking about the 4gb or the 8gb? If you have the 8gb it makes no sense to swap or sell for another,as a miner what should matter to you is the space, electricity and hashrate, if you want to reduce space then go for higher end GPUs but still high end GPUs are costly

I have some rigs I built with AMD rx580s and I'm a bit worry about their mining longevity, are these graphic cards still reliable for continues mining into 2022 - 2024? Or I can sell them and buy newer cards like 6600 or RTX cards

You have not specified how much memory is used on your AMD rx580 cards. This is also important in order to assess how long they can be used. I think that it is not worth changing these cards as long as they are profitable.

Actually i was thinking same:sell my polaris gpus and get 6600 instead, i liked power efficiency.

I am also in doubt whether to sell mine rx580 8GB cards. I guess now is the best time to do so, looking at the price. I don't believe they can be worth more, but at the same time, others cards models are overrated, so any upgrade (in current state) seems like a waste of money to me.

If you have the 8 GB versions and if you have been mining well with them until now there is no need to sell them as their value right now is low and you cannot buy the RX 6600 XT.Even if you could buy the RX 6600 XT cards they still perform similarly the only benefit of 6600 cards is less electricity compared to 580 cards.

You should ask yourself,is it worth the trouble of swapping cards if you have not the money, but you intend to sell the RX 580 and to add some pocket money in order to buy the 6600 cards?I doubt it is as you will win very little like 20-30 USD less electricity cost in a month.

580s are still great cards but they are starting to get up there in age. If you can sell them for a good price and buy replacements for a reasonable price I would think that is the better option. After the a2000 came out I did just that sold mine. If you can sell a 580 for $500 and buy a2000 or 6600xt for around the same price might as well.

Cheaper electricity or free electricity erase the needs to be selective when choosing graphic cards but if you have less electricity power condition then better sell those rx580 for 6600XT or 1660supers they consume very low power

It doesn't, there is no free electricity, if that person does not pay, others will for him indirectly, anyway, the better you save on it, the more efficient it is, the more you can upgrade but everything depends, buying a rx 580 for 400 is stupid, buying a 6600xt for 500 usd is not stupid. Last time i saw, idiots were paying 600 usd for a rx 580 and that makes no sense. Only idiots buy lhr gpus, even if they break even on them, they are still idiots + luck. People make mistakes and they expect them to profit from their own mistakes, yes they can but the chance for that is slim. The same thing goes when you bet on a weak horse and you expect it to win.

Whether its a good choice or not, it depends on the condition and price you bought them for. The 6600 xt series is consumes around half less, around 60w instead of 120w for the 580.

Also it will depreciate less as its considerably more powerful for gaming.

If you're wondering about reliability, I too have many 8GB cards continuously running from 2017 perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever.

If you got the 8GB models then you can still make decent profit with them.

I think the RX series which was introduced in 2016 was the best value for money. You can pretty much sell them for almost the same price you paid as new. If you got the 4GB model then they aren't in as much demand because they can't mine ETH anymore due to the larger dag, there are other coins but the profits are just not the same.

Just make sure your fans have good bearings in them and you can mine away for the new couple of years without issues.
