Can't access it until Sunday.  I will bring it home.

I have 1 controller
I have 1 psu.

I will attempt to do a few things.

I will first pull middle hash board.

Pulling hash boards 2 and 3 does work and 1 hash board will hash away.

I will post more later.

The hashboard can use a few different types of temperature sensors, but in a single miner all hashboards need the same type.

That was my initial thought but then I saw this

Code:

This miner does not seem like it was tempered with, looks like all stock and thus there is little to no chances of the problem being actually a different sensor type, the kernel log can be far from accurate, this is either a bad heatsink, or a PSU.

There is a small chance that sensor 8 is actually faulty, and this should be overridden by Vnish firmware since it only requires 2 temp sensors to work, unlike the stock which needs all sensors to be in perfect condition.

I'd try the usual fixes from this thread. Chain2 is dead or dying 100%.

I've had exactly the same problem for a few times on my S17 Pro,  simple plug off and waiting for few mins before turning it back on fixed it, if it didn't, then I'd just put my miner on it's side or no top of it and it would work fine.

Not sure if you bought it or you had that unit for longer time and it just started happening. Could be different problems causing it.

Did both messages start at the same time?

The hashboard can use a few different types of temperature sensors, but in a single miner all hashboards need the same type. So that is what the check is for, but I don't know exactly what sensor 8 means. If it was working before, then it suggests that the I2C interface to that hashboard is not working right or the temp sensor is failing. Sometimes the I2C interface can get screwed up by failing asic chips.

If both started happening at the same time, maybe it is a PSU or control board problem.

Any guesses

I can see chain 2 looks dead

Code:

not familiar with this:
