our mine is located in Venezuela ,

Are you able to show some pictures of your miners in mine? Would love to see a working one in Venezuela.

I'm not sure why but the plain mining board has a new scheme for someone to start a farm there about every month, every other at most.  They have all went away  so far except 1 might turn into something..... but it's been a long time since pictures and the last they said they still did not have gear.  It seem's a lot of them take a picture of inside of warehouse and think it's data center.

But please do share pictures I'm sure others would love to see them to.
if you want i can send a email with some images of our firt set up just live your email address

Can you post like phototbucket or other that  works? Then others can see aswell.   If you post link to picture someone with higher rank will quote so everyone can see the pictures Smiley.

Do you know many other miners out there?  I was just surprised how often mining operations try to start up there in regular mining forum.
yes i can post a photo no problen just i cant find the way to do it here just let me know the way and i will post

Just upload your image to imgur, then copy your link that shows the image directly, enter that link between [-img-]        [-/img-] (Remove the dashes, cut the space and add your link there and you are done...) Smiley

well our electricity cost is like free , we just pay like 100$ for our farm runing 30 s7

so is like free for us. but what i want is  the time that the s7 in a perfect enviroment can last

cheers
Sounds like an interesting place to start a profitable mining operation.

Where is your mining farm located?

thank you

Antminer S7s will last a long time in a nice climate controlled environment that doesn't exceed 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

I have a friend who mines with his own equipment, I mean they make hardware on their own and mine, they have different types of miners and they don't sell them, and he says that these miners can easily perform for upto 1 year, but the most important factor you need to take care of will be the cooling...
If the environment is cool and even after that, you do better liquid cooling for those miners, then I doubt they won't run at least 8 - 10 months...

Can you link to this?  I have not seen someone small scale make their own gear.  There have been 2 or so project's I've seen usb one's.

It just seems hard to believe your friend makes the chips, machines, etc.  Unless your friend is part of one of the big companies.

Your S7 may last anywhere from 1 Day to 2 Years. There's no QC, these Chinese manufacturers just make'em and ship'em. With diff rocketing up and the halfing in 7 months, chances are your S7 will become obsolete before they break down.

i doubt that, no miner even lasted less than 6 months, unless you're referring to a faulty project, the s7 i'm sur eit will last at least like the s5 if no more, this because in the future the efficiency will matter less, seeing how much is improved vs the price and the halving

Whaaa? You mean the QC sticker they put on it means nothing? Wink

I'd think they boot the thing to see if it runs, but i have to agree i not thinking so very strongly.

They do start them up on all I think.  Some get a "burn-in" where they truly run them but I don't think all miners get this.  Some get quick test and shipped.    Others could be in data center for a while if batch does not sell quick.

It's kinda funny now talking about no QC running them not long enough, as a year ago most would be talking about miners being used to long on "burn-in's".

Having a used ASIC is not really that bad, it kind of feel to me that if its been running stable for a while, it will be fine, as long as you use a proper PSU and a surge protector anyways. Haven't had anything break on me, yet, beside surge protectors.

Depends on the miner.   A lot are pretty good quality and will last multiple owners.  There are some dud's and some that don't work quite aswell.  Like the Dragon A1 it had a pretty crappy PSU it turned out long term.  I would guess they are still breaking.    Other miners like S3's were tanks.

So part of it depends on miner and also how previous owner treated it.  Previous owner can make a big deal.

Some of the miners have been mined by Bitmain for some time to burn it. Some are not. It depends on how fast the batch is sold out.

My Antminer S1 are still working as well. If you have a good unit, i'm guessing it will last longer than you need it to. Or you could have a bad one and it could break at any time.

There are hardware with more Hashrate than the S7 but that does not mean its a better option. Also trying to get something like a SP50 is pointless unless you have a datacenter setup.

Also I don't think SP will be interested in selling one at a time, at least at first on SP50.  I see them going for bulk sales, which your right data centers could be the customers they are looking for.  I also think NDA's will keep info on SP50 slow to come out, but hope I'm wrong on that.

OP what is your electricity price? In many cases the gear will last longer then it makes sense to mine it with.  You might be surprised but you might end up selling them after mining a while.  After that you sell to free/very cheap electricity people.
