Hi I am looking for suggestions about crypto currencies exchanges that support alternative coins and don't have high fees like Coinbase(I know Coinbase doesn't support alt coins) has.  I have a Kraken account but they don't support some of the coins I would like to trade. Please consider security, alt coin support and fees. Thanks
Tux, Polo, Liqui... But you can go coinmarketcap and check the coin you want -> click on markets tab and see volumes.

The best exchange I can refer are bittrex, poloniex and liqui. Ive done trading altcoin in liqui so far there site is easy to use and easy to access as well as bittrex and poloniex. These were the site are the best for me. Though collecting fees but afford to pay, also fast withdrawal.

bittrex is the best. You can try yobit if you want but I believe that bittrex is still the better one. They are very good and professional

I hear a lot of you saying I should spread my money and not to keep big amounts on any exchanges. Did anyone here actually lost any coins or money on a exchange?

Yes, me. Mintpal and Cryptsy went bust in 2015/2016, and took everyone's coins with them.

The biggest risk in crypto is exchanges disappearing with your money.

I had used Bter.com to trade Dogecoin to Bitcoin quite some time ago. Low fees, and safe transactions. Pretty good for altcoins. Quite some time has passed since I last used them though, I'd do a research around the forum if I were you.

Bter has paused withdrawals (though bizarely they are allowing deposits). Stay clear, they are a Chinese exchange that is currently being investigated by the PBOC for money laundering.

I don't want to sound like an ass, but if you don't have the ability to use google or search the forums to find this answer yourself, you probably shouldn't be investing in crypto, as you'll need to do far more DD than this to properly invest in altcoins.  To answer your question, poloniex and bittrex are what you're looking for.  Kraken has left a lot of potential revenue on the table by not listing certain coins like NEM. Their loss.

It is always best to ask question.  There are some benefits for it.  1.  It saves you from searching in googles and read lots of result which is quite time consuming.  2.  You can always have an extra insight from the reply.  Just like yours  Grin.  This is why most prefer asking than researching things on their own.

And by the way, better choose bittrex than poloniex, polo was acting shady this past few weeks.

DEV of DeepOnion community pool
you also may want to try https://bleutrade.com/
0,25% fee
many altcoins, around for long time.

As mentioned by others for other exchanges i do not advice storing big amounts for long term on any exchange
Bittrex is also a very good choice. Bleutrade is more easy to use.

I would avoid Poloniex for the moment - noob accounts have their withdrawals manually approved, and Polo has a massive backlog, which means some people wait weeks for withdrawals.

Instead try Bittrex and Hitbtc. Try both exchanges for safety (in that you are spreading your money) - don't leave too much on any one exchange.

each market has their own fees on maker / taker, you can pick and make a decision by yourself about what people suggest in here, in my personal opinion i will suggest Poloniex for you

Polo, bittrex, and liqui. All of them are best exchange sites right now. But looks poloniex is overloaded right now. So that will take more time to doing anything on polo. Bittrex is the best choice for your in this time.
The responsible exchange site.

I will recommend Poloniex and Bittrex. Yes, Poloniex was having some lag issues previously but are you intending to trade intensively? If not, the site is able to support. Fee is 0.15% for marker and 0.25% for taker.

There is lending function in Poloniex where you can lend your alt coins to earn some interests. But kindly note that the support is slow and the website tends to lag whenever there are much movements in the market.

Good luck.

Yes, I really agree with you, maybe poloniex and Bittrex are very safe. But many say poloniex is a fraud, I think this is just nonsense, if poloniex is a scammers maybe their trade site is now inaccessible, but actually poloniex is still accessible and there are still many who trade there.

Well I did google for it but all I found were exchanges with top liquidity I guess, I couldn't find any recommendation for Bitrex and here everyone recommends it so I think it was a good thing I asked here.

Thanks for all the answers!
