Thank you for letting us know. In fact it's a shame that companies keep forgetting that they really should focus in their support channel if they want to increase the changes / reach of their product (since they are the face of the company) but I guess they'll throw in a couple of "covid" excuses and promise that they are working on improving that side of their business.

Happy to know that this is a viable option or beginners though. A shame that is closed-source ...

Out of curiosity OmegaStarScream I assume by now you've received the wallet? What's your opinion so far about the device (if you're got any kind of feedback regarding the support from SafePal that's also welcomed).

I have received the device. I wouldn't recommend using it for storing large sums of money though, mainly because it's not open source.

But for beginners who are looking for a cheap hardware wallet with basic functionalities that supports multiple blockchain (without any effort from the user's end) then it's definitely a good choice.

As for the support, then it's terrible. I reached out to them once (before making the order) and I only got a response a couple of weeks ago (after receiving the wallet) so I wouldn't count on them for anything but again, I don't think that you'll need to reach out to the support unless you're facing problems with your order. For wallet-related issues, you can find tons of articles and videos online.

For security reasons, I would always advice buying directly from the company's website.
Official local resellers can often times be better than official website because you can buy them directly with cash not exposing all your name, address or phone number, you don't have to wait for long delivery or pay shipping fees.
I am obviously not talking about buying wallets from random dudes on internet or on flea market.

Update: For those interested and anyone who has ordered the HW during the same period as I did. The wallets are being shipped, mine was a couple of days ago.

I received an email from SafePal, so in case somebody else ordered the wallet recently... it appears that the devices won't be shipped until late April (due to a chip supply shortage). All delayed orders will get a free leather protective case.

Well.. I ordered one... but actually I am more interested about this feature
Safepal S1 integration to Binance DEX
.

Honestly they are worse than ledger....and we just have to trust some Chinese guys on their word.

Funny thing is that they have everything centralized and they call it DEX, same thing like they cloned ethereum and uniswap and even created fake Bitcoin on BSC, they can rollback and freeze anytime CZ wants, and all this with mask of cheap fees Smiley

Just keep in mind that Safepal is closed source and there are some negative sides compared with other hardware wallets:
- No signing messages
- No mulltiple accounts
- No multi-sig
- No coin control
- No desktop software

Looks like they don't accept P.O. boxes for delivery, and I would not give them my real name and address to avoid one more leak.
I would rather spend a bit more and get some Open Source Hardware Wallets like Bitbox02 for example.

They claim...

2. SafePal Hardware Wallet order information is deleted on a regular basis.
Starting from this January, SafePal has launched a new mechanism to delete customers’ hardware wallet order information on a monthly basis. For all the orders that have been fulfilled and delivered according to our logistics record, the order information will be reserved for 30 days and then be destroyed from our online system. The 30-day period enables us to provide product return service and after-sale support for our customers in time.

As for the ledger wallet, then AFAIK it's possible to use it but only using third-party software and not within the ledger live app?

Sure it is possible to use ledger with Electrum or with Wasabi but only for Bitcoin or Metamask for ethereum, and I would never use that buggy LL software unless I have to.
One of the many problems with Safepal wallet is that you can't use it with any 3rd party wallet, and if their closed source safepal app is gone you would have to import seed words to some other wallet.

Do they use DHL for shipping or something else? I tried to buy a Keycard last August and never received it, tried to contact the company and they said they're trying to sort out problems with their DHL shipping. Eventually, I got refunded after nearly a year of waiting.

I guess contacting them is a better idea to understand what's going on with your order.

Btw if it's for BSC/TRON, doesn't Nano S support them too?

I doubt it because it only costs about 5 EUR to ship to the UK. I've already reached out to the support before, but only got an automatic answer. Apparently, they had an airdrop some time ago and they've been receiving emails non-stop because of that.

I ended up ordering the wallet to a relative abroad who will then reship to me... But even though I've got an email saying that the device would be shipped on the 28th of February, I still haven't got any tracking number or email notifying me of the shipment process...Any thoughts from someone who ordered the wallet recently?

I appreciate the advice. I'm actually well aware of the things you mentioned. I already have a proper hardware wallet, I'm just interested in this one (to store low amounts) due to its BSC/TRON blockchain's support.

As for the resellers, then I checked them and apparently, none of them supports my country.

So I was wondering... Does anyone here know some reputable online resellers that I could order from?
So far it is not allowed in your country, I do not know if it can be shipped but I saw it now on Amazon.

You can only pre-order it now on official website because they sold everything after CZ hired a bunch of shillers to write about it on Twitter, Telegram and everywhere else.
Try to contact them directly with email, or check out this page and see their Amazon sellers and global resellers:
https://docs.safepal.io/safepal-hardware-wallet/orders/buy-a-safepal-wallet

Just keep in mind that Safepal is closed source and there are some negative sides compared with other hardware wallets:
...
I would have liked this wallet if it has open source code, but as it is backed by Binance, I know it can never be open source, and it is never open source, so does trust wallet which is close sources owned by Binance. The wallet make use of QR code to sign transactions is the only reason I can like it, no bluetooth, no WiFi or any other connection enabled, but it is close source and not advisable for use.

All the cons listed also makes it not to be a recommendable hardware wallet.

I tried to buy a SafePal but even though my country was listed on the site, I couldn't order it. I can obviously use a package forwarder company, but that's going to cost a lot and I'm not willing to pay extra, especially when the hardware wallet is not that expensive.

So I was wondering... Does anyone here know some reputable online resellers that I could order from?
