On your own wallet obviously, like paperwallet or desktop wallet and online wallet such blockchain.info. Never ever stored/keep your bitcoins or other altcoins on the exchanges for a long time, because you never know what will happen to that exchanger in the next or next 2 years.

Keeping wallet safe, secure and private is very important.

Bitcoin is becoming more valuable day by day. By this year only Bitcoin reach from $1K to $10K. So keeping your Bitcoin safe is very important.

Few preventive measures to keep Bitcoins safe and secure :

1) Never click on suspicious links.
2) Don't hold/keep your Bitcoins on Third Party Wallets.
3) Don't hold/keep Bitcoins on Exchanger for long time.
4) Take a back up of your Wallet in different type.(Such as Private Keys, Wallet.dat file)
5) Never share your any account login credentials with anyone or don't use on other websites.

Excellent Advice. Personally I am a big believer in Hardware wallets, with just a small trading amount kept in an online wallet. Metamask is also a pretty good tool for avoiding fake sites.

I think that if you really want to protect your coins from hackers you should have a lot of different wallets. Some coins you should have on wallets like Ledger Nano or Trezor. Other coins should be on online wallets. But be carefull about passwords and key words. Its nice to keep this info on flash card for example.
to store something important like that is very important because it can be fatal if it does not pay attention to technical issues that really should be considered, and the way trezor that I think is quite powerful even though the price is also tolerable but for security it is worth to consider

bitcoin is not a physical thing like fiat to move from one place to another.
The bitcoin wallet is the place to store their keys. This key is used to deplete bitcoin, the existing bitcoin in the form of transaction output stored in the blockchain and blockchain held by every person around the world who runs the full node client.

only a properly created cold storage or a trusted hardware wallet.
you can search for some hardware wallets if you are not tech savvy or don't want to bother learning how tos and if you are willing to pay. things such as Trezor or Ledger nano would work.

or you can learn more about cold storage and do it yourself easily. like creating a paper wallet with tools such as https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org or make a Trezor like cold storage on your USB disk yourself

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Cold_storage

Although it may be open to hacking and other forms of Internet anomalies. I think keeping bitcoins or altcoins in an E-wallet is fairly safe if you would just keep your wallet code to yourself, since it's encrypted, and not hand it out like any piece of random information to anyone. You can also keep a copy of that code in a USB or your own personal computer. Another important thing you should remember is to not be baited by some airdrops sites or the likes that asks for extensive information about your wallet information, that can be an indicator that they may be scammers or hackers.

Learn by heart all the data of the wallet, put them on the hardware purse. And put the purse in the bank cell. If something happens to the bank, count on your memory.

Use only the trusted wallet in your particular place where you are residing  here in the Philippines the only trusted wallet for bitcoin is coins.ph, you buy load and pay bill using that wallet.

Be careful,  hacker sending many ads to get your identification so, avoid clecking unknown ads to protect your wallet.

What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

The best way to store bitcoins I think is to have a cold storage. Since it is offline, online hackers don't stand a chance. Another one is using 2FA, this one is very popular for its high security feature. However, 2FA is still vulnerable to phishing because it is still processed online. Hackers have been improving their ways so people need to be extra careful with their accounts.

There will be always a potential threat for hackers online and so as losing your account on line. If you want to reduce online threats then I suggest you go for an offline wallets but on line would still be safe as long as you take care of your account details, just think before you click.

Scammers and hackers are everywhere; they will invade your account just to get money.  To secure yourself free from any hackers you should always work and think smart for every detail that you will give. It’s better to you keep private about some information’s about your bitcoin wallet. Do not login from any mining sites or any free earning application without knowing some details about it. You should always confirm that the sites/application that you are entering is a legit and has a good feedback; with this you can secure yourself from hackers.

You should act and think smart in every decision that you will do. Making yourself alert and always take care gives you assurance that you can avoid scams. Remember your action defines what will happen in future. If you did something today you’re the one who will benefit from it in future.

When it comes to safety of crypto-funds the most important feature is having access to our private keys, and most people will talk of keeping their coins in cold storage but how many people are actually keeping their funds this way???

In my opinion, I think a desktop wallet like electrum is good enough provided 2fa is enabled. it should stop hackers from sweeping our wallets, and to avoid losing access to our account private keys can written/printed and kept somewhere safe.

Frequent exchange you should use online wallet to exchange that means you have to set up your computer as secure as installing antivirus software or not clicking on the link unknown source. . If you like long-lasting bitcoin you should use a hard wallet.

What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

The security of our bitcoins is mainly in our hands.  Take precautions when you are opening your bitcoin wallet into cp or computers.  Most especially if they are connected to public router.  Your account can be hacked if logging  in public wifi.  Also keep on changing your password to secure your wallet.  Simple things to keep your account safe.

These are the virtual precautions to keep your funds in safe. We can also prepare paper wallets for ourselves by hiding them somewhere in the warehouse. This would avoid any kind of hacking attempts.
