same email here but it straight to spam usually im not checking spam after i see this and this showed up

Most of my emails are not being opened depending on the subject line and the sender. You would know if you want to read something because you are interested in it. It's doubtful to be scammed if you are not going to read it in the first place, right? So I believe everyone should know that it's better to be conspicuous about it and never be baited into such things.

Probably most of the time, people who get scammed by that are those who are gullible and easily shined by how amazing the "prize" is or something. You just have to give them your personal information or even the seed phrases into your crypto wallet.

Be careful.

The best thing to deal with these things is just to ignore them, if you have received a mysterious email containing a link then ignore it and never tried to open it, a lot of scammers enjoying the world internet and searching for someone that they can pool by such things and only beginners would be the victims of such tricks. Be knowledgeable enough to determine if a scam is attempting.

Email is considered as the main source or tool used by scammers and hackers, so always be careful, or better you should use different emails for different purposes just like what I am doing.

I want to share a little of my experience related to email.
before my blockchain wallet was hacked, a few days before I got lots of emails related to airdrops, and emails from websites that I don't think have been on there. I have clicked unsubscribe but there are still many emails like that, this makes me annoyed and finally ignores the emails.
Then when I wanted to withdraw BTC from a blockchain wallet, my BTC was gone and from the transaction history I saw that my BTC had been sent to another wallet, and for sure it was a hacker wallet.
This is really a valuable experience. since then I was really protective of my email. hopefully, this can be a lesson for all.

indeed, i also get regularly emails from prince of some kind of land in Africa, or some wealthy Chinese / American  about the millions that i inherited 

i would say , use your mind , if something is good to be true then 99% is it a scam

and never ... NEVER give you your private key to sites / strangers  heck even to your family ...

Those scammers have already a bunch of lists of their scams and they will execute their plan one after another if the other one didn't work. we just need to be careful and be vigilant every time we received such emails. Most of the time when I think of any strange about some emails, I delete them at once to prevent some scam script that might gonna run after I open that email. Things on the internet are scary, we need to consider our safety before jumping into our imagination. Just be careful when you press the unsubscribe button, maybe some of them will also lead you to some strange site. it is best to scan every link to prevent those scammers from gaining control of our system.

Every time whenever I check my emails and the contents of such contain links leading to like a giveaway or porn stuff, I blatantly ignore them.

Just a question though, was there a time that you guys received an email containing a link and such link was really a legit giveaway or website? I'm really curious as I only tend to ignore these kinds of links given the number of scammers nowadays.

On a side note, it is always better to post these kinds of threads to at least inform newbies and naive beginners on what to avoid.

Scammers/hackers knows how to attack men. Of course they'll be using a fake adult profile that offers nudity and stuff like that. Now, If you have a good bag of crypto and other important financial information stored on your computer, then you better be more careful on clicking links, especially in the email If not necessary.
As always better be safe than sorry.

Yes, Even those scammers use some tools to check who are opening the email and who are not. And thus they frequently keep sending who open it. So better to not open. But we are all very curious when we see something like this, (because we are human)

Always such email is risky and it will more risky when it carry a link or a file. So always don't brother to visit the link or download the file.

it reminds me of something that happened to me in 2012. In 2012 I get my first scam email. hahaha that's right i still remember this case today. I opened the email where a person who was in London urgently needed $ 300 to be able to unlock his money and pay for medical treatment. I was touched and asked him how I could help and asked him for pictures to serve some proof. he sent me a picture of an old lady who was receiving oxygen. so i asked him why he didn't ask his relatives for money, he told me that he was african from libya and that this was a grandfather and they had no more relatives, and that the $ 300 was to pay for a lawyer. I was scared, he later tells me that his grandmother's fortune was 30 million pounds and sent me a document that if I signed it would have 5 million pounds ... man I'm not greedy and at that time I started to be afraid that he was some bandit. then he tells me to send the $ 300 per Western Union at that time i didn't even know what the hell Western Union was and i told him i had no money. the scammer got angry and started threatening me that he could kill me if i didn't give him $ 300. I deleted the email and stopped replying, I was scared for days.

2 years later something unbelievable happened.

When I saw the news, I saw that the bastard was a Nigerian, he was a fake representative of the Western Union, he was a fake lawyer, he was black but he posted pictures of a white man with an Indian name, so that he looked like a citizen of Libya.

For this reason: always remain calm when dealing with a scammer who keeps sending emails. at that time, as I was still a novice in this matter, be nervous and spent days without sleeping because of fear

That's something new. But most of the time, these kind of phishy emails fall into the spam folder, including Ledger after the incident.

I would have not to dare open a suspicious email in the first place, there are things that you should always remember if you have received emails that you have never talk to or emailed:

1. Virus
2. Ransomware
3. scam project invitation

In these three examples, the 2nd one is the most dangerous one wherein you have no way of getting your files without paying, the worse part is if you pay they might ask more and get you everything especially if you have, confidential information in your data, never open suspicious email next time, I think I have made topic regarding this, your curiosity might put you in a bad situation, take care if you don't know about it delete it immediately.

Before I open the emails, I will check on the email title, and if I am not familiar with the title and it seems good to be true, I will direct to remove it without opening the email because I know that is something that will scam me.
If there are no suspicious titles, I will continue to check one by one of the emails but we can see from the email sender on the title, so that can help us to determine if that email is a scam or not.
I do not click any suspicious link inside the email because that can lead me to visit the scam website, and if I write something related to my identification, I will get a scam.
The scammers will be the same, but they use different tricks to scam people.

There were some ICO projects that I participated in their events by registering with their email some times ago back in 2016-2017, those projects scammed at end but still yet, I kept on receiving their mails of them trying to scam more investors., I only get pass them by unsubscribing from their notifications. Same should also be applied to ignoring unexpected messages in your mail, to avoid been scammed.

Yeah just like you, I've received a lot of emails a day but only a few of them I read, the rest of the mails that are not significant or kinda suspicious to me left unopened.  What OP received shouldn't be opened because if you know yourself that you haven't engaged in any activities and yet you received an email from them then there's a chance that it could be a scam, what makes it more obvious is that they even provided a suspicious link so better not to open and click it cause you don't know what's gonna happen.

Scammers have device many means of getting to people, ifthey don't call they send link or code and ask you to verify. Once you mistakenly click on the link then your account will wiped of anything in it.
I have advised people to be careful while dealing with such situations.
I wish to let everyone know that scammers are real and that they are everywhere.

Proper assessment should be implemented when receiving an email from an unknown address. Kindly note that any email may contain malicious software that can be a threat to the privacy of our accounts and computer. Furthermore, it can associate with fraudulent activities, like the Ponzi scheme. Thus, it should be reported as spam to flag the user and dispose of the email. Moreover, we should sporadically validate and check our received emails. Regardless, we should stay vigilant in responding and believing such messages.

Not talking about this particular link, just in general before clicking any links which you are unsure about it or shortened then better analyze it first. You may find this is scam attempt here but when you are receiving emails related to your activity or profession then you should click it or you may miss your lif time opportunity.
