I downloaded the zip file and went through it all and don't see the .apk file that I can use to run on my Android like I do for Coinami wallet. There is a source but maybe I have to compile it. Is there a compiled .apk file i can just run?
You can't find the apk anywhere else.

I uploaded the APK from the PlayStore for you. But of course you can't trust me, right? So you can verify that the file is legit by doing this:

1. Visit https://md5file.com/calculator or any other SHA256 file calculator.
2. Download the APK file and select it in the MD5File website.
3. You will see that the SHA-256 generated is the same as the one found in the Samourai's github for the Release 0.97.03.

APK file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ympoeza670xx9mx/Samourai.ver.0.97.03.build.79.apk

I'm investigating Crypto Projects
Where can you get the APK file for the wallet or do I have to have a google account in order to get it?

https://github.com/Samourai-Wallet/samourai-wallet-android/releases

Github is where it's at for the cool kids who don't want to go through google play.

Is this now a fully launched wallet? I haven't really bothered to keep abreast of anything.

I have checked samourai wallet on play store for android, and it's still on development (unreleased), even though we couuld be an alpha tester (3).
And there is another version of bitcoin wallet which released by samourai developers I guess, called sentinel, isn't it?
There are few wallet developers which have enabled segwit address, so it would be great to install this wallet after it's officially released on play store.

I would say it's not worth it to use the wallet if you've got to go through that much trouble...might be hard to find another multisig wallet I guess though.
Why multi-sig ? One could avoid all the trouble by simply checking the transaction fees according to latest network congestion and broadcast a transaction then.I wouldn't move to a wallet just because they have an ability to speed up my stuck transaction due to my inability to check the network requirements.I don't need that much of automation in life.
...but that's not what multi-sig is, not even close. Multi-sig is a transaction that requires the signatures of multiple keys to send, like if you want to give away an inheritance, you can keep one key yourself, give one to a trusted family member and another to an attorney. After you die they can use their two keys to send the funds. Stuff like that. It has nothing to do with transaction fees. The multi-sig wallet I was referring to was Copay anyways, not Samourai.

Has it launched on mobile recently? I have seen Samurai around for a while but on the web.

Are they the same devs?

What do you mean on the web?

I think they only released an early alpha version to the Android Store, soon on iOS.

I wonder if I could link samourai wallet to my bitcoin core node.

peace

It's been on the play store for a wee while marked as early access and therefore unstable. As far as I know it's never been a web wallet. Are you thinking of something else?

what about if you make a mistake or something?
Wont you like to have a software (wallet) who has ALL the features available in the protocol?

You talk like having a mail client with no option to put someone in copy just because you can put several email address in the "to" field.
that is nonsense.

They love to make a whole lot of noise about the political positions they take, but I've had a fiddle with it and it was missing many of the features I use on a regular basis.

I'd want less shouting and more track record and features before it became my go to option. I'll probably sample it again in a few months.

Seems a good wallet to try, enabled segwit. Even though segwit has been activated for 3 months, most web wallet still doesn't support segwit address. Moreover, this wallet has some features which better than others wallet. I will give it a shot for sure, how much fees to pay for every transaction, whether it's more convenient or safely.
