Living is easy with eyes closed ...
The introduction of a cryptocurrency wallet in the new Samsung 10 will contribute to the involvement of new members in the cryptocurrency industry. And it will be the most wealthy part of the society in its financial and material position. I think we should be ready for the rise in prices for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Any type of implementation which allows the movement to reach more people, at this stage, I believe the positives will far more often than not outweigh the negatives. Notice I didn't say always.

Samsung has Samsung pay with 10 million users and if  they connect it with crypto payments that would be huge for the crypto on it`s way to  becoming mainstream.

This is a big step towards crypto mass adoption. It will be a boost for ETH as well as Enjin coin supports only the ERC-20 tokens but I am sure BTC will also be supported in the near future.

Enjin was really part of here, but sad to see Enjin is dumping hard now.
From $.20 to $0.169718 now, but anyway this update is still good as this is going to increase the adoption rate.

Ethereum is confirmed as well, hopefully it is a price boosting for ETH if not now then maybe in the future time.

I don't understand why they chose Enjin Wallet. I have never seen an extra feature of Enjin Wallet. I'd like to hear about it if you see something I don't see.

This is normal in cryptoworld because we saw a high pump up to enjin in the past few weeks so expecta hard falling down to this project but still enjin is a good project that being part of samsung company.

The way Samsung has played this is somewhat disappointing. ERC-20 compatible coins? Wtf? But, I get it. Even talking about crypto in relation to their newest Galaxy model is a huge step forward, not to mention the actual wallet implementation. It's important to keep the momentum going forward so that more and more people get involved in crypto. Overall it's a good news.

It will help create awareness but it has no assurance that the market will be better due to this matter, but the good thing is in the long run people will urge to try that kind of wallet and as time goes by many will do.

I like how various financial giants start to adapt to cryptocurrency. No one wants to miss his piece of cake, and this will only push interest in cryptocurrency from ordinary people.

The normal events following a big announcement is people would dump after their hype and rumors are already confirmed, see Enjin. Samsung is a big name in the industry and it'll be a waste if people wouldn't capitalize on the hype and gain a few profits, hence the dumping of one coin involved in their crypto wallet. Personally I like that Samsung is trying to get in the crypto game with their S10 lineup's crypto wallet, though I think in the long run people would still prefer hardware wallets separate from their phones due to the latter's susceptibility to being stolen and being lost.

As for me, peoples around us usually use nfc for payments. Maybe it will distinguish this purse from others

Apparently the wallet is only available in the USA, Germany and Korea :

"According to a tweet from Samsung Australia, these crypto currency functions will currently only be available to users in Germany, Korea and the USA. In fact, it is unclear when the feature will be available for other countries, if at all"

It is basically like metamask but for your Samsung galaxy s10 if I get it correct right ? Well, to be honest with you its both amazing and useless at the same time. First of all these awesome chrome extension wallets like metamask already makes things super easy so you do not actually "need" a erc20 token Samsung wallet and even if you want to you can just find one in the app store anyway (google store if I am not wrong).

Nevertheless, of course even with that in mind Samsung supporting stuff like enjin and kitties and so forth (and allows you to have many erc20 tokens stored) that is just pure adoption and great news. People who have no idea their phones could back up these kinds of stuff could start slow with airdrops and all that and move their way all the way up to high end dapps.

It is definitely not a great innovation but still great adoption.

Right now, enjin coin is dumping but it does not mean adoptation on crypto is stopped. So I guess buying this coin is a good idea for a long term holding. Not because it's low in price but the popularity of it's owner that would bring this coin to another level.

As usual the market is very unpredictable, after these news people are starting to sell and dump this coin because of that. I would love to have that phone if that's kinda cheap but I'll rely more with the usual wallets that I have.

But the best part of this is that Samsung is Samsung and it's a established company that's giving it's doors to the crypto community.

What do you expect? Enjin is just around in the top 50 and the news really put a lot of hype around it and speculators took the opportunity is the last week and push the price and then noobs follow. And now it seems to be dumping as manipulators is booking their profits very fast and then go on to pump the next coin. And I agree that there's nothing to replace the old and trusted and reliable hard ware wallet to store our coins.

Here is the chart for ENJ.

Typical pump-and-dump.  Grin

@joniboini - exactly, I think I have commented on it on several threads about this whole Samsung S10 crypto wallet built it. I would rather invest on a hardware wallet than buy expensive smartphone with the so called crypto wallet included. For me it is still not safe assuming that your smart phone will always be online.

The dumping was expected though, the pump happened because a short term hype, not because the token is used or its adoption increased.

Tbh I'm not really a fan of this special phone for crypto, hardware wallet is still the best choice for me for flexibility and security.
