This is impressive and will have a great impact on crypto sphere. Many big companies are begining to see the use of cryptocurrency and they are adopting it slowly. Samsung adoption of cryptocurrency will open way for other big companies to adopt cryptocurrency
An interesting point about creating mainstream. I think that'll work indeed. But safety is a big question. They claim it's secure but smartphones are vulnerable today.
It is a win win situation for both crypto and Samsung, Samsung should know that a very large community of crypto enthusiasts equally use their phones and most have to need to download the wallets after buying, but the phone coming pre-installed with a wallet makes things a lot easier by saving the user the need to download and creating some level of popularity of the wallet and makes its marketing easier as well as boost the sale of Samsung phones as more crypto enthusiast will want to identify with the phone being already crypto compliant.

By now the usage of cryptocurrencies around the globe is not that high, also corporates won't find it a way to establish their business. Very few believe in the technology and one among that is Samsung. With its development of inbuilt cryptocurrency Wallet Samsung has made its entry to the cryptocurrency network in a stronger manner. Looking upon the growth of bitcoin can expect more companies similar to Samsung start their development relative to cryptocurrency.

Actually, it was mentioned on the article that it supports different kinds of cryptocurrency though ETH is the only one stated.
Anyway, this is a good thing for the crypto community. Having a well-known company embrace crypto will surely influence the people into being engaged here as well. However, there are several problems or holes seen on their new feature—security, primarily. It must be addressed so that everything will run smoothly and conveniently for their users.

Especially for number 3, assuming that one's phone is a rooted phone which might affect the IMEI (happened to me quite few times where my IMEI went missing) and I might need to reconfigure it where it assigns my IMEI randomly just to get me started in using my mobile network carrier.
It is convenient to have a phone but the convenience becomes an exploit for hackers to gain access to your phone such as untrusted networks when you connect to some free Wi-Fi nearby.
I don't think anyone with sound knowledge of how vulnerable a rooted phone is would risk rooting his/her phone with an embed wallet in it, except of course the user done intend to make use of the wallet to store funds, otherwise that will be a very bad idea to root such phone,
this move by samsung will somehow increase the awareness about crypto hopefully, i know many more mobile phone companies will want to emulate Samsung.

It can increase public awareness about the existence of crypto currencies and of course, more and more people could join into the crypto world. It is a good form of marketing and hopefully there will be more big companies that emulate the steps of Samsung.
But the hype had died down already and we can't even weight if it indeed bring crypto closer to the masses. And as far as I know those crypto's who's initially supported in the initial release had a good run, unfortunately since the hype goes down, so is the price.
Emulating? I don't know, most smart crypto investors would only put small amounts of their coins in a wallet, because it is not secure, much better to invest in a hardware wallet than a expensive mobile phone.

What is the advantage of embedded cryptocurrency wallet when we can download any wallet to our phones? Are there any special features in there? I don't see anything innovative here but, I am sure that it will get a good reach for cryptocurrency to many people. Because Samsung is a popular mobile brand. So, I guess it will lead to more Bitcoin adoption than now.
The emphasis is on security.
You don't download a 3rd party wallet that can be compromised or hijacked and you don't have to care about the security behind the app servers that can push a malicious update to your phone.
In this aspect the Samsung embedded wallet is more secure, it's not impenetrable or bulletproof but it is better than an app.
Other than that...nothing special and it won't lead to any BTC adoption as is doesn't support BTC

It is just a wallet adoption on Samsung mobiles dude. It will never impact bigger in the marketplace. When there is the marketplace growth bitcoin's price fluctuation is the result for it, but we need to know the reasons for the current bump in the market.

I don't think it would have any negative impact. On the contrary, such a well-known company as Samsung enjoys trust among people and their support for cryptocurrency can have a great impact on the development of cryptography.

Yes, you are right. If we cannot get special features except embedded cryptocurrency wallet, I think it's better for us to buy another mid-end of the android phone which have a low price too. But yes, that will lead to the adoption process from the android because we know that the android phone becomes a primary thing for many people.
I hope that Samsung will realize about this so they can give another feature than just adding cryptocurrency wallet inside the phone because that will help Samsung become a pioneer in the cryptocurrency.

You don't need to wait, as Samsung Developing Ethereum-Based Blockchain, May Issue Own Token. So they are now looking at developing their own token, called Samsung Coin. Will this bring mass adoption? 50-50 for me, their wallet integration doesn't support Bitcoin though, it's all altcoins so I don't know if this could be considered as factors for the global adoption that we all have been wanting for. Yes, their wallet is a game changer, but the effect is far greater if they would include Bitcoin.
