I think the features is the same with the hardware wallet of Ledger Nano S but this is much convenience and a user friendly too because you are using your cellphone other features and at the same time the feature of a USB as offline or hardware wallet. The only problem i see is when you lose this phone and you will lost your hardware wallet easily too because you will always to bring this phone for your other personal use unlike the USB Ledger Nano S which is mostly will stay safe at home.

It's a great initiative taken by SAMSUNG. They are becoming more crypto friendly. It will be much easier for us if we get smartphones as hard wallets. I hope it will make more people interested in crypto.

I agree that smartphones are very secured because they hardly gets targeted by the hackers and viruses. Moreover even if phone gets lost, you can remotely control it. There is also 2FA which uses the phone as a medium to confirm user access. The same cannot be said about other devices which are used for installing hardware wallets.

If you consider a smartphone's capability of saving itself from malicious softwares and trojans you would understand that why Samsung has made such statement. Laptops tend to get attacked by virus and malwares more often than smartphones which may cause the user with a hardware wallet installed on laptop to panic for no reason, whereas smartphones don't have any such issues.

I absolutely agree with what they said. Hardware wallets are accessed through mobile phones and laptops usually. But, the advantage of smartphones are that they are less prone to getting affected by malware and virus. Moreover, 2FA that helps keeping your wallet secure, uses mobile phones as authorizing permission to its users.

I totally agree with this post. First of all thank you for sharing this news. I also think that smartphone based crypto currency is more save. It store digital money with several types of security. Samsung also want to create private associated key with wallet.

First of all thanks for posting such an informative article.
What I knew was the best way to store your cryptos was to use a hardware wallet.
Now with this post I undestood that android smartphone provide the same level of security like a hardware wallet. Thats good to hear, but still I would prefer a hardware wallet over any other option, as I have a very less chance of loosing my wallet and a very high chance of loosing a smartphone.

From my point of view it’s a great news. I also think it’s a safest security system because some users are find comfortable in using mobile. The most important thing is it hase several types of security system that will help to secure everything.

I think it's true, Android is safe enough to be able to store cryptocurrency, although there are still more secure than Android, but Android is the right choice for me who prefers mobility

by the way, are you endorsed by braziocoin?  Grin Grin Grin

This was my assumption from a week ago when Samsung started to accept BTC in European stores with hard devices which came true now, realized when reading this discussion. Samsung with this TEEE tech, will rule the smartphone device industry as they are planning to add a hard wallet feature with every phone which will give this brand an unique place in Crypto market.

I agree, hardware wallets is accessible by mobile phones. The advantage of smartphones are that they are less affected by malware and virus damage. 2FA also uses mobile security permission to access.

Smartphones do have a better security and verification process. But claiming this brand is the best one is a little too fast to judge given there are other phones in the market too apart from android operating system.

well I completely disagree with this statement because there is lot of risk in storing crypto in a mobile wallet like smart phone. Few examples are your smart phone can be stolen or misplaced very easily as you carry it with you all the time. And also another disadvantage in mobile wallet is their security level. When compared to hardware wallets like nano ledger the security level is very primitive.

Lol smartphones are just like local wallets and wont be called as safest wallet for crypto

The smartphones has no high security level that can be trust for our precious coins i would rather use my local wallets that offers four different coins that can buy en sell without using exchangers
