It was made for Grin but its a great match made for Ethash, KAWPOW, and MTP.

I don't see anyone talking about the Pro of this card being future proof, 16GB for any current DAG setup its usable, Ethereum for example pass 20/FEB/2032 (I know ETH is going POS someday, but its just an example of this cards longevity).

Decent TDP is another Pro for this AMD card. Sure 1660 Ti is Perfect TDP but again 6GB is short-term compared to 16GB long-term on DAGs.

And sure! They might make bigger and better cards in the future, but think about it... By that time everyone is taking Crypto very seriously, and you better believe that the future prices of those future cards in a future where Crypto is taken globally serious will make 399 look cheap but now they're selling these days for 250.

If you don't over stress the cards with overclocking... I believe that since they have been touched up for mining purposes you'll be able to use these cards for over 30+ years.

6 gigs are gonna last a long time. 16 gigs is useless IMO. Current epoch is 3.81 for ETH 6 gigs is coming in 2024.

I think hashrate can better if you test it on Cryptonight-GPU(RYO). Is it possible for you to check this card on Ryocurrency and share results?

LOL and again the RYO noob. The 16Gb RX 570 Card is for Grin mining, no one interesting the Cryptonight-GPU hashrate.
Yeah they are for Grin, but still one of the worst performance cards.

Hi there, our team released Nanominer 1.8.0 (You can find it here https://github.com/nanopool/nanominer/releases) this version have  Cortex support on AMD Radeon RX 570 16 GB cards. Average Hashrate about 1 G / s  on this moment this hashrate equal to  1.3 $ ~1.4 $ per day.
Please, note only the frostpool works normally with Cortex. The official cortexmint rejects a quarter of shares. Vulipuli does not allow to get connected. But this is the problem of Vulipuli, they are trying to solve it, but they only have green cards.

This is only testing and review and you should not take it seriously. But rather than it and you can get rx580 with pay half from that price. Remember OP has already mentioned if some coins needed a big size of GPU and have you watched it?
This price would be acceptable late 2017 or early 2018, when the mining profits where booming. The brothers rx570 and rx580, prices lot cheaper as they used to be. Got some RX570 sapphire pulse 4gb the other day for 115euro a piece.

except u want use it for gaming  Grin.

That card doesn't offer any impressive stats except the 16Gb Vram but in hashrate it doesn't offer anything to the miners. You can buy 3 Rx 470/570 with that price and save about 40-50 dollars on that price.I don't understand the point of this card together with the Rx590 as they offer nothing new to miners, maybe they are marketed to another audience,to the gamers.
Well this is advertised as mining card  Grin , total bs.

The problem is that some people aim only one coin for mining. This is situation where for example gtx wins 100%, it was possible with gtx 1070 and up to mine most of the coins in a great profit anf not only demand on one.
Thank you OP for review but what about to use 1stminingrig's style while posting a review? Would be far more interesting to my mind.
Best wishes, after 1stmining got out of sight, wish someone will follow their style.
Nvidia is great on mining algorithms , except Monero Smiley. And AMD from big cap coins Eth and Monero. The problem with most of Nvidia cards is that they are so damm expensive, and in most cases when you calculate hash per usd ( amd almost every time has better ratio). I have in my farm mostly amd rigs , just cause i was focused mostly on ETH and some times few rigs on Monero. Now starting to buy also 1660ti cause they are so dam cheap for grin coin gps per usd. I do believe in Grin , so thats why i mine it Smiley Have 60x 8gpu rigs in my farm so far.

Thanks for review.

This GPU seems pretty useless, $330.. lol
Ill rather buy 3x 4gb versions for that price. Which will be lot cheaper price per hash.
The thing that really does matter when mining is the cost of electricity per hash. Grin
This card producing the same hash for eth and consuming more power is just pointless.
I can only see this being good when the dag file for ethereum reaches 4gb and those 3x 4gb become useless to mine it any longer just like what has happened to the 3gb cards a couple of months ago. They had to find other coins to mine.
I dont have much faith in grin either. Undecided

IDK if they could, but if they had put GDDR5x or GDDR6 on this puppy, it would have been fantastic.

Not sure about they were betting on grin and have you seen where was the skyrocketing of grin? I have watched the total hashrate of grin and it was getting a significant decrease https://2miners.com/grin-network-hashrate. Miners especially for small miners are looking for alternative coin to mine that can bring them profits.  Those will not bet on the big competition like what happened with the major coin miners.
man what a waste, ill rather buy 1660ti which is lot cheaper and will bring more grin. The right price could be at around 150 bucks.

Seems like they were betting on Grin skyrocketing at this point which would be the point of these cards existing.

When I heard about this card I just tought they have a lot of old chips and need to sell, I don't see any reason to launch this GPU on market for 330USD, and at this moment
Maybe in 2017...
