Before I try this, it's working with Monero mining as well? While I am typing this I realise it's a stupid question... But I ask it anyway... I guess it's working with Monero and that it does not matter what coin u mine with this BIOS

https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9650/sapphire-rx-480-nitro-oc-8gb-11260-01-20g-modded-bios-29-mh-downvolt/p10

Another miner claims testing it but he didn't have good results.

Hi,
has anyone tried this bios with XMR / Monero ? Unfortunately it seems XMR has higher power draw and this bios becomes unstable even on my strongest Sapphire 480x Nitro+ cards.

Jukebox any chance you could prepare some light version? With only slightly lowered voltage and without strong OC ?

I'm running BIOS with 1750 straps 1200mhz/2150 MHz and 990mv / 1000mv. Sgminer for Monero and I reboot every hour. At the moment no crashes the last 6 hours

Hi guys

I tried and tried but my windows 10 always crashes when I mine in claymore if one of my cards have a modded BIOS. It does not matter what straps I copy, it crashes after a few hours. Only stock BIOS is running smoothly.

How do u guys do that? I need to modify something else? Or I I let the miner restart every 2 hours ? I am desperately searching for an answer. I hoped I could run faster the 640 hash and use less power... And I can but it keeps on crashing. Please help

Hello

What is the model of your gpu?

11260-01-20G?
or
11260-10-20G?

If you have no crash with the bios stock, it's because the problem comes from your mod bios.

How many mv?

What version of driver do you use?

I have problems with the driver 17.2.1

I'm back in 16.12.2

hey, my model is 11260-01-20Q
my mod i did myself, just copied the 1750 timings to 2000 timings. the rest stays stock...
i use the 16.9.1 drivers. but same problems like 17.2.1 ... im trying cgminer for monero now instead of claymore for moner...

Maybe try using a different version of AMD Driver. Something like 16.11.5. It works for me with 29MH modded Jukebox bios.

not going to lie and no offense, I think its your mod.  buy one or get one off someone here and see if it works.

Non taken Smiley. But with Polaris I copied 1750 timings to 2000and that's it... If I flash back to stock BIOS, I also can not change the Mem or undervolt a little without windows crashing after 1 or 2 hours...

The only way I could have screwed it is because I backup 1 stock BIOS, mod it and put it in all cards... But I have some the same cards and all Samsung memory. They should all have the stock BIOS no?

sometimes cards just cant be modded much.  I have 600 cards and I sent back about 35 of them for that problem.  They would flash run and crash.  I just said they run and crash after 2-3 hours.  They took them no isse and sent me others.  Out of the others they sent me, 2-3 were exibiting same issues so I sent those back hehe.

ALSO you might have just done it wrong.

I have 6 now and same problem on all of them. Cards only crash after an hour or 2. Even when I use stock BIOS and undervolt with only 50mv it crashes. I don't think it's the cards. Could it be Mobo or windows 10?

Could be bad risers, other bad hardware, too high or low clocks or volts

Could it be the motherboard? I can run rock stable over 15 hours with original BIOS and original settings... When I flash 1 of my cards with another BIOS it crashes after a few hours. So I doubt it is hardware related but I don't have much experience. I use original clock and Mem when I reflash BIOS. It's really strange it crashes. I use USB 3.0 risers and I bought a new 1200 platinum PSU. The only thing I can think off is the motherboard because that is an old one. But again, rock stable at standard settings and BIOS...

from where did you get that bios for that card ?
its modded by you , or downloaded from the net ?

I modded it myself. Copied 1750 timings to 2000 and that's it

If just eth try -ethi 6
