The Satoshi Edition Satochip has arrived, after waiting for over a week I finally have this card now.
Awesome--thanks for posting pics. I guess there wasn't such a need for a holder as I originally thought, because it looks like the card is well-protected to begin with and on top of that they included one of those sleeves. Very cool. I don't think when I bought a regular Satochip that I got a sleeve included, but I used a Ballet wallet plastic snap-shut case and it fits perfectly. And now I'm kicking myself for not realizing there were more cards in the series than just the first. It sucks not having a friggin' brain sometimes, I swear.

You quoted me but it looks like you said it (just saying). But yes, I bought a regular Satochip sometime last year I think along with the card reader, and I like it a lot. The only thing I don't care for is that you need to use an old version of Electrum....and I'm not sure if there's a workaround for that or not.

Not impossible, maybe we can make some limited collaboration project, but you need to be ready to put your money on the line, and that is currently only around 0.0008 BTC for one card, I think you are getting much more than that from Foxpup  I would absolutely do that. Small correction, it's not your account, it's Satoshi account being printed on this limited edition cards Oh my bad, I thought that the Satoshi card was actually a prototype to portray how it'd look. It would be fascinating if you could print your own account details on your card, for an extra surcharge, of course, since every card would be 100% unique and custom-made. They still look magnificent the way they are, though. Card readers are cheap, but they are not mandatory at all.

€15 for a card reader is quite affordable; even if you purchase the regular Satochip card along with the reader, it's still more affordable than purchasing a hardware wallet from the two known brands out there. It's a bargain, especially for those who have the integrated card reader; you're practically getting a hardware wallet for as little as €25.

It's also nice to see free shipping without tracking, which is quite a pain in the ass, but the tracked option isn't too expensive either, at €8.50 for Greece. The privacy issue another user mentioned is easily solveable. There's a reason for P.O. boxes or not using your full address; the parcel will still be delivered to the local post; you'll just have to pick it yourself.

Lol, I don't know why he posted that; it sounded as dumb to me as it did to you. Speaking of dumb, I didn't realize there would be more cards available, else I would have paid attention to the ones that came out after the first series. I definitely would have bought the one with Satoshi's statement about lost coins. I've made more than my share of "donations" to the bitcoin community (though Satoshi himself no doubt made the mother of all donations of lost coins, assuming the genesis block coins never move). It's IMPOSSIBLE to use this method for Latin America. Eg: Brazil require some specific papers to import electronics goods. Peru is a nightmare if you don't use tracking services etc...
Kinda same reasons for Africa or some specific countries in Asia. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world.
I didn't know that South America has such a big problems with delivery, even for envelopes, but I did hear about bad postal service in Spain. I hope this is more clear and again, sorry for the confusion.

It would be better if SATOCHIP issued customized cards with these Bitcointalk profiles (which the buyer will choose and indicate), instead of Satochi (as in the picture). When they send out cards by mail, SATOCHIP will know at what address each forum user lives. Great idea to collect a base and lose/steal it to hackers. There is nothing unusual about these cards. The most common collector's edition. It doesn’t matter what design is on these cards, what’s important is what’s inside.

At Satochip, we try to offer affordable AND secure solution. Our business model includes the shipping costs. Why? Because we think it's a non sense to sell a 25 bucks products and charge an additional 10 bucks for shipping. How can we achieve that? Simply by sending the product using a small letter... Easy, cheap. With no tracking, no insurance. Such shipping method works great from Belgium to Europe, the United States and Canada. We have a 95% success rate, with 4% returning due to incorrect address and only 1% lost. It's IMPOSSIBLE to use this method for Latin America. I can't miss this amazing collectible, due to being in a rush, I forgot to add the NFC blocking case to add on my cart which I want to include on my purchase, but anyway, I'm so happy to have the last piece! OK, now I'm curious as to who's going to get what number whenever they arrive. Should buyers post pics here if they want, or is that asking for too much anonymity-breaking? I am sure this cards will be much more valuable in aftermarket soon For forum fans, I'd have to agree--but I guess we'll see if any of the five go up for sale anywhere. I still can't believe only five of these were made. Even most limited edition silver coins (which you can't mint an unlimited number of, unlike a Satochip) have runs in the hundreds or thousands. That is because of limited number of watches produced, and people are willing to pay anything. Consider this limited cards as Rolex hardware wallet cards I ordered mine - I've tried to look for a voucher/coupon to apply, or at least get a discount. However, I could not find any. LOL. Satochips are great to use, but they're kind of like postage stamps and coins as well--art can be added on top of the practicality. ordered mine - looks like 2 remain.
