I think Satoshi takes the cake for "amount of money earned anonymously".

Agreed. For someone or some group to make millions while not really contributing to anything, he certainly does take the cake.

your kidding right, do you have any idea the order of magnitude of the contribution has made!

Hooray for Satoshi! The Robin Hood of the New Millenia! He did not need force or an army to accomplish his task. Through mere talent and ingenuity, this man allowed free market to thrive once again. He has given the people their livelihoods back.

Here's another fun thought... Satoshi is not the only person to do something like this... only the first.  Peer to peer, encrypted systems can and will change everything... and some early adopter nerd types just got bankrolled by playing with Bitcoin a few years ago.  They can retire and do fun projects now, inspired by Satoshi's breakthrough.  Bitcoin is the tip of the iceberg, but the very best thing to happen first along these lines.

Or buy lambos Smiley

btw, not having a go ..... I would buy one too if I had the coins Smiley

I am struggling to think of anyone else who has done what satoshi has achieved.

Without standing before a bank,  venture capitalist, wealthy person, angel investor, a buy out, satoshi has made available to himself likely millions if not billions  and created a multi billion concern heading to the trillions.

That is the power of the idea/code.

The rest,
Gates
Zugerberg
Jobs
Ford

all had to get money, capital, from someone.

Satoshi did not only not do this, she/he/it/they did this with anonymity.

I would be interested in any historical person that has achieved anything similar

Obviously he has done something completely unique. Invented digital money, remained anonymous,  got rich etc etc.

AI invented ...takes look around and goes well this is a bit of a clusterf...k...time to fix.
lets adopt a British idom under a Japanese Pseudo name, write a backstory, and 100 seconds later bitcoin is finished, white paper ~ forum done.

Thousands of people are watching his address everyday. How can he use his fortune staying anonymous ?

Good point, though are we sure all the BTC he mined is non those addresses, or did not by 100K in 2010 onto other address. I know I would have.
