There might not be a "satoshi" for all we know the government itself could have secretly created bitcoin.

It's possible that Satoshi is still active in the community under a different alias.

I think he still wrote Gavin for a few months after he disappeared
[wild, but surely not unheard guess]Satoshi is Gavin.[/wild, but surely not unheard guess]
At least this would mean he is up and well Wink

I think most people assume he vanished because he didn't want the spotlight,

I think it's more likely he vanished because a bunch of libertards showed up, took his experiment and raped it. Long, hard and unrelenting.

I believe he is not a real person.

What was he then? An alien?

There are tons of viable reasons for Satoshi' withdrawing from bitcoin.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Zimmermann

Phil Zimmermann being an international arms trader one of them.

This.

Persecution followed by prosecution. The powers that be don't like when things like this (Bitcoin) come along.

Was he even a real person to start off with? Could just be a fictional name designed to keep the creator out of the spotlight when a name was needed.

he was a real screen name.  posted about 300 times to this msg board under the name satoshi.  here is a link to his pgp key maintained by bitcoin.org: http://bitcoin.org/satoshinakamoto.asc

if he ever returns he will sign a message with that key.  i pray he does come soon for the judgement.

Dear Satoshi, if you out there, we need your salvation!

I don't know anything about him , but I suppose he acquired enough money from premining to transfer his brain into a robot and is now travelling through space at light speed into a time where he rules the universe
